I really liked him. But just so tough to slot him into PT given our guard depth. Likely wouldn't have signed with us.

WTH is wrong with these people? Initial reports seem to suggest DeRozan wasn't in the wrong, at least to me, but the way these things seem to work, the dude's probably in for pay day through settlements.

Siakam cooking in the playoffs. Another guy the fanbase chased off for no **** reason. “Barnes has more of a bag than siakam.”

Remember how many posters lost their minds over the Raptors losing Christian Koloko to the Lakers - What happened?

I get people miss our former Raptors but you guys do know they played for us right? And WE all saw how utterly mediocre our team was when they were leading the charge no?

We were never going to be able to add talent to this roster with OG, FVV and Siakam at the helm.

I know the teams current situation. That doesn’t change the fact that people were saying “siakam is holding Scottie back” and “Scottie has more of a bag than siakam” which is just complete and utter bull. And then people get mad when I say they suck at evaluating basketball players. It also doesn’t change the fact that the organization handled the siakam situation poorly. Basically treated him like he was replaceable scrub in his last season here, and was a complete nobody while Scottie was the next franchise player.

They definitely handled it poorly but that’s usually how these things end up when you’re constantly mediocre.

It’s not like Siakam wasn’t without blame. He didn’t accept an extension right away when it was offered and refused to play ball with them in trade talks. It was only going to end ugly after that.

Why are we still blaming Siakam for this?

Why should anyone be blamed for not accepting an offer that would pay him less than he's worth? Raptors extension offer was roughly $125M per year and he ended up signing with Indy for $190M. Can't blame him for taking care of himself and his family.

Re his refusal to play ball in trade talks, would you cooperate with the team that's trying to get rid of you and then expect you to go to a destination of their choosing? As an unrestricted free agent, he earned his right to choose. Why should he forfeit that?

Players cooperate with teams all of the time when it comes to trades. These guys are professionals lol.

Where exactly did the Raptors do him wrong in this situation outside of Masai saying he needs to fit in?

We sent him to an amazing basketball situation for him who wanted to pay him a max he wanted. We could have sent him to the Sacramento Kings or some other hell hole.

You guys are acting like we banished him to the shadowlands.

It's cuz he has a 20mill cap-hold this summer that we want no parts in holding. Shead is on the books for like a couple mill,
Good guy, he has some of the best IG quotes lol, hope he gets paid.
