Single game plus minus isn't great but portraying him as some Godsend that was happening this game a la Cole/Black in the Hawks game is just lol.

All of our guys just gotta be more consistent. We lost momentum out of the half because WCJ's brain worms came back.

Hopefully he becomes a luxury cap casualty for them in the near future and we can nab him. White/Suggs backcourt would elevate us in a big way.

What’s funny?

1) Orlando is not 100% with Suggs and Mo out.

2) Celtics went through similar growing pains with their young forward duo

3) It’s no secret we are a legit shooter + center (and more experience) away from our final form.

3b) Despite that, had we remained healthy, we would likely a top 4 seed and have a chance to win a first round series this year.

… oh well, tough ****. Growing pains are a part of the game.

Franz was not good today. Games like today give me doubts on him. Not nearly as effective vs good defenses.

AB looked very nervous. He did not play well, but did a couple OK things. With how the Celtics went at CoJo and Cole he probably has a chance to earn minutes, but has to calm down.

Basketball is team sport.
51 shots taken by 2 players on 86 points total.

You trade Franz/AB for Book/Grayson

Book
Suggs
Grayson
Paolo

And go from their FO. It’s not that difficult

WCJr being dumb was the start of our downward spiral.

Gotta get more FT attempts. Gotta force more turnovers on defense. Gotta hope the Celtics shoot a little worse from 3PT.

The pace was the one the Magic wanted.

No surprises. We knew Orlando would struggle at times due to lack of outside shooting and inability to score for stretches.

They played hard but this one is more about how many games the Magic can win in this series before some offseason adjustments to this roster.

Not overpaying Hartenstein and Tyus was the real issue.

After Paolos first year it should have been imminent to get players around him.

They have not at all.

Actually the complete opposite.

Yup... Detroit put Tobias Harris, Malik Beasley & tim hardaway. And acquired schorder at the deadline. And those guys went out and almost beat New York yesterday in msg... I truly don't understand what this front office is thinking waiting so long to improve this roster. One more summer is all they get from me...

Agreed, its always deeper than the +/-, but I'd say Cole has a higher chance of being important towards a win, with how the offensive struggles are so apparent. A Cole heater game wouldve given us a good chance at a win tonight.

To beat them, we need at the very least 2 players to step up beyond the usual. Against the Hawks we had 3 (WCJ, Cole, AB). Tonight we had none, maybe 1 if you consider Paolo, but we're almost used to these kinda performances from him.

Derrick White and Payton Prichard are the game. We need shooters like those two. Boston is elite and shot 16 for 37 from 3s. We made 11 3PT FG. But that is not enough. We need Franz in the 2nd half! That performance is not good enough to win it. We did so many things well but 1st half and 2nd are a huge difference. Let's regroup and think about Game 2. We need to win one here in Boston
