“One” of those games? Look at this man’s career averages. Look at his percentages for this season… why are we still talking about this like this isn’t who he’s always been… honestly weird how fvv always gets a pass for some reason.

17 points on 34 shots for Houston's starting backcourt.

Jalen Green is such a bust. I can't believe some people were arguing this season that he's better than Scottie.

He's not having a good year offensively but he's not been 4-19 bad lol

The pass mostly comes down to his advanced stats, somehow despite being a below average offensive scorer, his teams have been consistently better with him on the floor than off.

The rockets team is like all the previous raptors teams before kawhi… good effort, good defense, all great in the regular season, no actual elite talent to carry them in the playoffs… you can’t have your “best” players be inefficient chuckers and expect to go anywhere in the playoffs. Fvv always been fools gold, everyone gets hype over his leadership and plus minus, that **** just doesn’t do anything in the playoffs.

And yet they will never win a championship with him as the lead guard… rockets are getting swept… at some point people need to see the patterns here… all his teams have been better with him on than off and yet the raptors never did **** with him in the playoffs, and now the same fate is happening to the rockets…

lol that's what I'm talking about, I don't know how he always manages do that.

He's had a positive on court plus minus every year in his career and only had a negative on/off once in his entire career.

Low turnovers, good defensively and is usually the only lead guard on his said teams.

He gives you a good floor but you’ll never accomplish anything of note if he’s your lead guard.

When they signed FVV, I doubt they thought he would still be their only competent guard by now.

Always remember we only took those 2 games from Philly once Fred packed it up and sat the rest of the games

That's a bad comparison. Out if the top 8 players on their team....6 of them are on their rookie contracts. So they are WAY younger than our kyle/demar teams.

But they are facing the same thing as OKC in that they are gonna start having to pay everyone. And because they've had so much regular season success....none of those guys are gonna sign cheap extensions.

So they hace like 1 or at most, 2 more seasons before they start losing guys for nothing. They have to consolidate. And they would have to do that even if they have playoff success. (Which is unlikely imo)

Even if this team gets swept 2 this playoffs and next....there is no world in which they will be able to keep all their players past their rookie contracts.

This is an aspect of tanking that ppl often don't talk about and the new rules exacerbated the problem.

lol I'm not even sure what you're arguing exactly? Is anyone advocating for Fred to lead a team to a championship by himself or something? He's ideally a 5th option on the floor especially at his age now but he does bring a lot of intangibles to a team.

He's 31 now too and has a ton of wear and tear on him from injuries and his play style.

His contract situation should be interesting, he probably is going to want one last pay day but his ideal role in the NBA is probably more of a role player. He's just really bad offensively now, I would like to see how he does playing off a Superstar.

not to speak ill of the dead but 4-19 fred is something that you usually don't see unless you watch him game in and game out like raptors or rockets fans. such a frustrating player. don't know if fans of other teams would realize till now.

Somewhere Will Lou and some other select Raps media are upset that their puff piece on FVV and his great leadership, has to be shelved for the time being. And instead will write about Houston's youth being the issue.
