2025 Playoffs - Round 1, Game 2 - Bucks at Pacers - 4/22/25 - 6:00 - NBATV/FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:59 pm

We'll get an idea if Dame will play when the initial injury report comes out later today. My guess is he plays. But how much or how effective he'll be after the long layoff, who knows.

If you expect Doc to make any major changes you're crazier than he is 8-)

We've faced adversity before in the playoffs (down 2-0 to the Nets including a 39 point loss, down 2-0 to the Suns). I'll stay optimistic, let's win this one and go home 1-1.

Please keep the discussion in this thread on THIS GAME ONLY. Thx.

GO BUCKS.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I am optimistic that the team makes some adjustments, but not Doc. As much as we rag on him, it comes down to the effort and decision making of the players in the moment.

We can do a lot better.

That being said, FFS Doc, use your head...

Would like to see Kuzma at the 4 and Giannis at the 5 for once

AKA the theoretical reason for why we traded for him. You'd think.

Hopefully Game 1 was the brain fart game and we got it out of our system. You'd like to think they'll adjust somewhat. Despite the lopsided score, the Pacers can be had. If we can steal Game 2 it changes the entire series.

If we can simply get 20 minutes out of Dame to cover all of the Giannis off minutes and then give him some better spacing for a chunk of time, it will make us better

But start kpj and trent ffs. Enough **** around.

We can come out and build a lead with those guys

I expect us to still have Brook, Kuz, and TP in the starting lineup, but come out with much better focus and energy defensively.

Give up 28 in the opening frame instead of 33.

If Dame can score 25 and the scrubs can score AT LEAST SOMETHING we can win. But when Bobby, Prince, Kuz score a combined 4 points it's going to be impossible.

It was nice to see KPJ, GTJ and AJ Green score, but can't be getting 18 from your starters outside of Giannis and your 6th man. Looking at Indy, their starters and 6th man had 91 from their first 6, we had 54....

I also expect Giannis to come out clearly playmaking for his teammates like it was the top buzzword used during pregame, and him to have a much better game than the last one.

Just to confirm Wisconsin will be blacked out from watching on NBA TV on all legal cable/streaming platforms? Only option is Fan Duel network?

How much is Fan Duel network? Tried to stream the game last time and the quality was really poor

Getting Dame back is paramount. Might just be enough to neutralize the braindead decisions of the head coach and his malpractice lineups.

For anyone/everyone who has a subscription to the Athletic I highly recommend reading this morning's Nehm's breakdown of the defensive lapses in game one and what needs to change. It's good.

Doc needs to start tp at sf. And one of green kpj gt at sg with dame as pg. if Dame is not playing, start gt or green at sg, kpj at pg and tp at sf. And introduce or start Sims at Center for long minutes.

Can they move a 2 way player to the regular roster now? If so, move Pete Nance in.

I don't care if he IS wearing a dress -- punch this guy in the mouth early and he'll go away meekly.

And send the Bucks en route to a 120-104 victory.

Why does TP need to play exactly, particularly if Dame’s back?

Indy plays a 3-guard lineup all the time. We should match that, and also play a 3 guard lineup as much as we can.

$20 a month. You save doing it for a season but I just do monthly. I've had no problems with it, I use it in my TV, tablet and phone.

Maybe im wrong but is Pat not uniquely qualified for this series?

He can at least attack a closeout, make a decision and either finish or dish. He also rebounds.

He’d be better than Prince.

I think the word Giannis kept throwing around in the post game presser is a good one - decisive.

TP and Kuz are floating. Pat you know would put his head down and find a way to get into the paint, or jack up a 3 that’s out of his range.

He would seize something even if not all of it he’s perfectly capable of doing. I think that pretty much is the line between 82 game players and 16, and Pat has very much been the latter for us over the years.

There’s a decisiveness and fearlessness there.

The guy **** competes.
