Do NY fans think that this team is better than last year's team?

Maybe. We have more talent but don't have the same ooomph. Maybe a mismatch coach situation too having more of a finesse team.

We lost a lot with iHart leaving.

Obviously on paper the talent is superior. Just from looking at this one game (which is obviously not enough) it looks like that synergy they had of playing off one another is gone. I loved last year's team, but I agreed that they ultimately needed more talent to take the next step. Unfortunately I don't think that the talent that they acquired to upgrade the team is enough to get them where they want to go. They went from a team where the whole was greater than the sum of its parts, to the exact opposite.

Well, iHart left and I don't think everyone realized how big that was. Most impact stats had him as our second or third best player. Then they haven't quite figured out who the secondary creator is in the lineup. Like, I think they would have challenged the Celts with a healthy Randle. And Brunson isn't quite right right now.

This fit is clunky and the fit with the coach is clunky. It may be something where you get a new coach and move some pieces and the final form works and it could be a big mistake. But all in all we're in a similar spot to last season right now.

The crowd sees to have some life at least. Nba crowds are lame (sorry) but this one is decent. Also they don’t play **** music during the game and still use the organ.

This is where play-off experience is vital. The Knicks core has it, The Pistons don't (yet)

Win or loss, this will be an important learning curve for Cade and the young Pistons.

World Wide Wob (Perez) is right when he says these Knicks are like cockroaches who can never be killed seemingly against all odds.
