And yet Kawhi is still the best player in this series.

The whining is hilarious.

Kawhi was not in game one. He was worse than Jokic was in this game. Stop the bs. Best player in the series lmao

I mean.. it’s 2 games in and Jokic in game 1 wasn’t amazing by his usual standards either. Kawhi was better today arguably if you factor his defense and efficiency.

What excuses will we see from Nuggets fans when they lose this series?

Oh I know.. Jokic has no help.

Predictable ass fans.

Note to entire thread: please avoid generalizing and baiting/insulting entire fanbases. Fans of a team aren't all the same person and stuff like this just makes threads hostile. Thx.

Don’t think Denver takes this series. LAC has way too many weapons, and Kawhi is a game changer if he plays at this level. Far too much of a burden for Jokic to carry these bums.

I'm not sure if Jokic was tired but I expect him to player better next game. It was weird seeing him so discombobulated, late in the 4th.

Reading comprehension. I said game one. And Kawhi game one was worse than Jokic game two

KD only arguement is ‘bag’ / aesthetics. Kawhi simply better at basketball & he light years ahead when it comes to impacting winning

Regular Season is just practice for him, playoffs is when he laces them up for real.

Arguably top 10 playoff performer in league history

And that was a ridiculous statement even when healthy Gordon doesnt have the foot speed to stay with Kawhi and unlike when he's guarding other guys he has no strength advantage whatsoever.

Imagine if Butler teamed up with Kawhi back in 2019.

Two of the best current playoff performers together.

In no universe was Jokic better than Kawhi tonight lol there's not even an argument to be had.

One game doesn’t make the series was my point.

Ah I see what you were saying now, I misunderstood. I do agree that Jokic will likely end up with the better series overall.

Last year I watched game 7 of Indiana vs Knicks and game 7 of Minnesota vs Denver. Denver and the Knicks lost. Must be some kind of bad omen because they play the same day again at home and lose.

Just saw Jokic had to play 45 min. Wow. If Kawhi stays healthy Denver is in trouble if they don’t win one in LA

I keep seeing posters here post that Kawhi would be the best player if healthy. The problem with this thought process, health and availability are part of the game.

I think Kawhi has top 10 player of all time potential but the reality is he's no where close there because he has barely played in the last 5 years.

Could you imagine if Jokic or Giannis had the luxury of playing 1 quarter of the season how different they could look in the playoffs?

Kawhi has shown what he could do in Toronto (even with load management) playing the majority of games but now he's a part time player who gets to show up for the playoffs.

It's not really that deep, people are just talking about his talent level.

I mean Steph isn't better than peak kawhi either, lol. Healthy kawhi is a runaway 2nd best player of thao generation after LeBron. Were talking about a 2 way guy with peak LeBron / Jordan stats. Dude was roasting the 2017 warriors.

Don’t think there is excuses. They fired their coach a week ago ? This team is not a contender, never was. Can’t play Watson, Pickett in the playoffs. I think most Denver fans would be surprised if they made it past the Clippers.

Disaster.

Clippers gave game 1 away. So either way it would be 1-1 coming back to LA where they Clippers are nearly unbeatable.

It's not going to make any difference if Denver stops throwing the ball away and hits a few free throws.

Everything was clear tonight.

Clippers threw the ball away 20 times in game 1 and Denver needed OT to beat them by 2. This is a ridiculous take. Westbrook is the 6th man in Denver - this is not a recipe for success. The only reason Denver has a legitimate chance of taking this series is because Jokic is an all time great talent. Otherwise, Clippers would be the easy pick.

A lot of things went the Clips way tonight and they only won by 3.

Credit to the clips for the way they doubled Jokic and got in the middle of passing lanes.

I don't really trust Kawhi to hold up & perform this well in future games, on the other hand this was a terrible game for Jokic.
