Of course.
If anyone was defended like Jokic their output would drop dramatically.
Adelman knows what is coming and guys have to be ready to make plays.
I love Kawhi but there's no universe where he could lead a playoffs in PTS, REB and AST like Jokic did. And he's not defended like Jokic, either.
And there is no way Jokic could ever lead a team as their best offensive and defensive player like Kawhi can.
Kawhi is not at Jokic's level, and I'm a huge Kawhi fan.
Jokic's playoffs DBPM when he led the playoffs in PTS, REB and AST was +3.7
Kawhi has had one playoff run with a better DBPM, and he averaged 22/6/2.
Different levels of player. And Kawhi is one of the all time greats but he's not at Jokic's level and only a very small group of players in NBA history are in that conversation.
When Denver won the title, and Jokic became the first and only player in NBA history to lead a playoffs in PTS, REB, AST and WS, he also led the team (rotation players) in individual ORTG (129) and DRTG (108).
The guy literally did everything for the team and set a new standard for NBA history.
Love Kawhi, but he's not capable of that and only an extremely short list of Hall of Famers is (like LeBron).
