KINGS
In: Stewart/Ivey/Fontecchio/Harris
Out: Murray/Lavine
Sabonis/Valanciunas
Stewart /Harris
DDR/Fontecchio
Ellis/Monk
Ivey/Carter
Stewart would cover a lot of Sabonis' defensive flaws, I think he would be a good fit and they get the high-ceiling guard prospect they need. Harris is a good veteran who keeps them competitive.
PISTONS
In:Lavine/Murray
Out: Stewart/Ivey/Fontecchio/Harris
Duren/P.Redd
Murray/Holland
Thompson/Beasley
Lavine/Sasser
Cade/Schroeder
The pieces fit together better. I think Lavine, in this scenario, with Cade's creation and Thompson's defense, would be a more than decent second option. By the time Lavine's contract expires, Holland should be ready.

Re: Kings/Pistons
Yuck from the pistons. Lavine is negative value and Murray has disappointed since a strong rookie year.

Re: Kings/Pistons
I don’t like it from the Kings perspective either. I wouldn’t want to dilute Murray’s value by attaching him to LaVine.
When it comes to LaVine, I would assume we’d be looking to move him for another bloated contract that might fit our roster better (vs attaching assets to move him). But it’s probably far more likely that we keep him this year which then makes him a huge expiring the next offseason that can be used in a big trade/swing or we potentially extend him for a MUCH smaller salary (making his contract value much more attractive).
