Ohhh no, Elon now realizing he’s torpedoed his reputation??? It’s over for you bud.
“Talking to the guy is sometimes like listening to really rusty nails on a chalkboard," a senior official, who again was granted anonymity to speak freely, told Rolling Stone earlier this month. "He’s just the most irritating person I’ve ever had to deal with, and that is saying something."

He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing --
Trump had to be looking in the mirror.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

Those who are convinced of absurdities, can be convinced to commit atrocities

"Due process" is being redefined like "woke" and "CRT" and "DEI" was. Now "Due process" means "guys we like go free despite the crimes they committed, and guys we don't like get deported despite not having done anything illegal"
I think this is fine as long as I get to be the one who chooses who we do and don't like

I think these maga chuds and their ancestors have always viewed rights in this way throughout American history, whether it manifested as irish/italian immigrants don't have rights, japanese who were interned in camps don't have rights, black people don't have rights, lgbtq+ people don't have rights, anyone who looks like they might have done 9/11 don't have rights, and now a double whammy of hispanic-looking people don't have rights and nor does anyone who protests Israel, which seredipitously for them intersects nicely back to people who look like they might have done 9/11.

Huh, Trump is following my advice, gather up the standard list of complaints from USTR and see if you can get something done that no one else has been able to. We've been complaining about China's currency manipulation since the aughts

Long story. Back in the 90s, long before anti gmo stuff was a thing, France decided they wanted to flaunt WTO rules and ban imports of US wheat, so they made up some bs about the potential harms of GMOs, that we had been eating for the last thirty years without any trace of a problem, and that we exported to low income countries and basically eliminated hunger worldwide. So the French government goes on this propaganda campaign about how bad GMOs are and now it's a worldwide movement, based off of the French government's cheatiness. Still makes me mad. It's a thing lefties do that is completely uninformed and stupid and annoying.

No, American manufacturers are allowed to self certify for pedestrian safety. It’s why the Cybertruck is illegal in Europe. That thing doesn’t pass any pedestrian safety standards.

he's conflating (read: lying about) actual safety tests with a fake, more bombastic safety test to get a rise out of his constituents. It's always about how what he's saying makes MAGA feel, vs the underlying reality.
he can tweet about China's currency manipulation but 0.0% of MAGA understands what currency manipulation is, or how it affects the global economy. 0.0% of them even understood tariffs; there was a viral video of someone interviewing a MAGA merchandise salesperson pre-election and he said that tariffs were going to make the US rich, and then the presenter walked him through what tariffs meant for his merchandise business and he still refused to acknowledge what would happen with high tariffs.
for me, the frustrating thing is how poorly he plays the everyman. he pretends to share in Joe Sixpack's concerns about groceries, low-flow toilets/showers, and gas prices but he openly admits he hasn't driven a car in decades, hasn't bought groceries probably ever, and probably hasn't taken a shower in decades either. the other side of this frustration coin is that there are relatable dem candidates who can and should seize on this stuff but are sticking to orange man bad.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XXXIV
Last week DOGE came and visited my agency, MCC. Up until that point we had felt pretty confident that the agency invented in 2004 by W to replace USAID would end up doing just that. But no, looks like DOGE is going to nuke MCC just like they did USAID.
The Trump administration is evil and fascist and the people who voted for him either support him fully, meaning they are evil, or are just wildly stupid. I have been extremely consistent about that the last several months, and as everything I predicted over the last 8 years has come true again and again and again I would just like to say I TOLD YOU SO. Trump and his supporters HATE AMERICA.
https://www.liberalcurrents.com/trump-alarmists-were-right-we-should-say-so/
Those of us who still truly love America are now forced to consider leaving it. It is time to exit this abusive relationship. It is time to seriously consider secession. Let's deport ourselves.
One way to do it quietly is to just start ignoring the Supreme Court. Set the laws you want and ignore any SCOTUS rulings against you, like the POTUS is doing. Let them send the army to enforce it. If they do, then you're justified in seceding and you will probably get an overwhelming majority of people in your state to vote in favor of it, if you want to go in that direction.
Assuming you get away with ignoring SCOTUS decisions the next big step is to stop sending tax revenue to the Trump dictatorship. That's a bigger step, you have to pass a law first saying all tax payments go through your state tax revenue system first and ignore the SCOTUS decision saying that's not constitutional (well, DUH!). Move the overton window over to making that acceptable and then the next step of halting payments to the fed treasury is a small one.
Keep incrementally taking steps to separate yourself from the GOP dictatorship until you are independent de facto if not de jure. During the entire time, start building a local militia to the greatest extent possible. And be obvious about it, brag about it. Foster a sense of patriotism in your home state citizens about it, so when the dictatorship attacks, it is an attack on them personally.
THAT is how you defeat Trumpism.

Go to court bud. MCC was created by congress and can’t legally be shut down by DOGE.

Yeah we know. The problem is Trump just does what he wants, and we have the richest man in the world sig heiling and no one gives a fk. If conservatives were of the same stock that my grandfather was (lifelong republican, enlisted at 18 to fight the nazis), they would have rushed the stage right then and there and beat the fk outta that guy.
By the way F4L you were totally right about that guy. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt because I hadn't really followed him recently, but he's an actual white nationalist weirdo.
