One of my favorite teams I’ve ever made to be honest.
The Championship Pistons core with Kobe and Carmelo. Only thing the Pistons ever lacked was a go to scorer, we give them 2 of them. Defense might actually be equal too as I insert Kobe into the line up.

Defense:
Straight up. Bills on Kyrie. Kobe on Rip. Tayshaun on LeBron. Melo on Love. Sheed on Chandler.
No crazy mismatches here. My best defenders are on his best offenders. We slow LeBron with Prince and excellent team defense. Caruso off the bench is also crucial in giving Billups a break on Kyrie.

Offense:
There isn’t much we can do. Our half court offense will be insane. Kobe and Melo pick and roles and pick and pops putting Love and Rip in terrible positions defensively. Sheed will stretch out Chandler away from the basket. We have a whole starting 5 that legitimately can post up, they can all shoot, they can all create shots. Kobe and Melo might be the best scoring combo in this draft. Billups, Sheed and Prince all are knock down shooters. Sky is the limit.

Writeup:

Helluva team as always Ness, best of luck.

Defensively we will start with Kyrie on Billups, KCP on Kobe, LeBron on Melo, Love on Prince, and Chandler on Sheed. Rip and Gordon will also see significant time on Kobe and Melo respectively off of the bench.

Feel solid about KCP/Rip on Kobe and LeBron/Gordon on Melo. Love will be absolutely fine on Prince. Kobe+Melo with Billups/Prince/Sheed is certainly fun, but I'm not sure I love Kobe and Melo together. Both are notoriously iso players. Think that eats into their overall firepower a bit.

Similarly to Ness, I also went for adding to a proven foundation. The proven trio of Kyrie/LeBron/Love now have significantly better support than the Cavs had, with KCP/Chandler/Rip/Gordon all high level supporting pieces. Also, while I have two legit defenders for both of his two best pieces, he only has Prince for LeBron. Melo and Korver won't have much luck.

As always, it's important to look at the years used. Some off years for Ness's team whereas mine is really only Gasol who plays 8 minutes.
