Josh Hart shouldn't be on the floor when guarded by a center, but, we get 40 minutes of the Josh Hart experience. He's being defended by a player not guarding him, and your coach can't see it, neither can you.

If we dont need a bench like you say then Josh Hart has to play, who else do you want.. more Deuce and Shamet bricks?

You play a center Gravy, you play Mitch and KAT together if they're going to guard Josh with a C. The only way Josh can get around that is making a bunch of threes that makes Duren come out and guard him, or you take him off the floor and replace him with a big that makes it harder for them to switch on screens, and opens them up to rebounds. It also allows us to do exactly the same thing to them, which is guard Ausar with a C.

I didn’t like him slapping fans’ hands outside MSG after we were eliminated last spring. But I kept my mouth shut lol. It’s cool and all from one perspective but feels like settling for just being a show or being decent.

Still think he’s the man, but it’s also a letdown. But let’s be honest — that’s the NBA. Winning has become a little bit secondary to where it was back in the Starks days.

He just benched "Mr. 5 Picks" for almost the entire 4th quarter in the previous game. Thibs isn't just some powerless individual standing on the sidelines.

He can't do that regularly. If it becomes player versus coach you see who is removed. They just fired Mike Malone and Joerger right before the playoffs for those kind of decisions.

Fournier, Walker, Grimes, Obi, Reddish etc disagree with you The entire roster has changed in the last 5-6 years from lottery picks to top free agent signings. Thibs is the only one remaining outside of Mitch and if he could stay healthy he would probably be gone too. He has been winning the battle of player vs coach for years but it may be different this year with the raised expectations.

Mikal has actually been benched in a few 4th quarters this year. He didn't come out and complain about that but he did complain about playing too many minutes and the bench guys like Shamet and others not getting an opportunity.

He was literally the only one that was interviewed that said the season wasn’t good enough. He went to shake hands with fans bc they showed up and supported the team even on the road. They even got standing ovations in Game 7 even when they were about to lose in a blowout. Him doing that for the fans was really cool actually.

The Knicks probably need to upgrade from Thibs but they definitely need to change the roster as well. This team is not built to beat Boston as currently constructed. I don’t even want to say it’s “not close” but the Celtics have 4-5 players that can handle the ball and the Knicks have maybe 2 and the other one barely plays.

Brunson’s USG% on the year is around 28% and last night it was 39.4% - that represents a 40% increase.

NBA teams AVG time of possession in 24-25 was 14.4 seconds - Brunson himself was at 10.6 seconds in Game 2 in case you are wondering why we are never a hockey assist away from a functional possession. There is no mismatch hunting, transition oops, double screens, stagger screens, pin downs or curl plays. We don’t push the pace off a missed FG or FTA - it’s stuck in the mud.

As far as touches are concerned, Brunson had 104 last night when he was closer to 84 on the season.

In fact, if you look at game 2 as far as who Jalen passed the ball to, Bridges received 38, Hart 32 and KAT only had 12 passes delivered from JB.

This offense is an utter indictment of Thibs and it’s truly the worst coaching I’ve seen him do across 6 years as a Knick HC. He has no clue how to adapt to his player personnel or the opposing HC, he will never be proactive to seek a way to win on the margins. It’s laughable.

39.4% usage rate....i could just hope jalen's rotator cuffs are still in good condition with all that shooting
