You should never be playing Lukes and Roden together in the outfield given how terrible they have been offensively. Why not have Heineman as DH instead, Straw in the outfield, and Vlad at first? Another pathetic lineup on paper if you are sitting Santander. If you want to rest Straw also, have Barger instead in the outfield. Why even give the 500 million man Vlad a DH day, with two off-days coming up in the next 6 days?

Heineman should be playing more than just once a week. Lukes and Roden are not Major League players right now. Why cannot this organization see that? He's definitely getting fired. He's on the last year of his contract, and his 2026 club option as far as I know has not been picked up yet. If things start heading downwards, then he's definitely the first domino to fall.

The Dominos that need to fall are the two clowns in the front office Shapiro and Atkins who have been here for a decade. 5th highest Payroll in baseball, one of the worst farm systems in MLB, and they felt the urge to spend 500 million on a Singles hitter while neglecting to add to the pitching depth; where they had to rely on horrible pitchers like Jacob Barnes, Easton Lucas and Lovelady to start the year. Replacing Schneider with another puppet will make no difference.

No argument here. This front office needs to go. For whatever reason Rogers allowed them to stay long enough to add $240-250M in long term commitments (Gimenez, Santander, Kirk extension), on top of the Vlad extension that Rogers mandated. For a team that likely should be sellers at the deadline. It’s a mess.
