What happened to Wes Edens being a savvy basketball mind?! Get some balls and take your team back, man.

Isn't Edens about to hand over the franchise governorship?

We had a an actual coach then.

First 6 pages of the Nets thread:

It goes way beyond coaching but I’m all for a change since we are hamstrung on player moves.
-
Fire Bud, hire a GM and let him do his job
-
Really illustrates that Bud's idea of offense is 4 guys stand around and watch while one guy does his thing. Aka what Jason Kidd's offense devolved into. Guy's gotta go.
-
The way we defend and we attack is on Bud. How the executed is on players. And the way we defend and attack is disqusting.Nash humiliates him. He didnt change a thing exept the stupid zone from game 1
-
Bring a normal coach without a gimmick defense who will try to erase all the bad habbits Bud and Kidd brought to the team.
-

-
After the Bucks fire him, I could see Bud living in a cardboard box running up to strangers in the street yelling at them that Bill Gates injected chemicals into his dick that makes him sexually attracted to frogs.
-
It starts and ends with your best players and coach. They all took a giant, collective **** on the court tonight.

That said, it’s been clear the rest of the league has gotten far more athletic the past five years. We just don’t have any of those guys. Teams like Indy, Minny, etc. are just able to get to the ball faster.

Can’t really use this excuse anymore. We’ve got plenty of athletic dudes. Some of them kinda suck, but no one’s telling Doc he can’t play them more.

What does Kooz allegedly do well on an NBA court? He’s not a shooter, distributor, slasher, screener, defender, rebounder. He does some of those things but nowhere near an elite level.

Did we really have to sacrifice Midds for this? Could it not have waited until the offseason?

Even our younger players run much slower than anyone in their team. The speed difference is so blatantly obvious.

I don't give a **** what idiots here were saying.

Bud was telling players how to succeed and putting them in positions to do so.

He did his best to make the team better.

Running plays for Kyle Kuzma and telling Taurean Prince to guard Haliburton isn't doing that.

Bro, Bud was telling dudes to play random and let it fly. It worked for a while and we won a Championship, but his message got stale and he lost the locker room. I was among the biggest advocates for hiring Bud AND for firing Bud.

Firing him needed to happen. Management has been a dumpster fire ever since. Hire the right guy and we might have been able to re-tool and remain contenders. Instead, we got Dumb and Dumber. I had too much faith in their ability to sign a basketball mind, and did not realize the magnitude of Giannis not wanting a micromanager type.

Doc is sabotaging this winnable playoff series with that starting lineup. Why is he so insistent on starting Taurean Prince and Kuz when it clearly doesn’t work?

Doc is done. Dinosaur who can't adjust.

But if we have prime Phil Jackson now, we wouldn't win title this year. We would beat Pacers but that's all.

We had perfect team around Giannis 4 years ago. Khris couldn't stay healthy, so we traded Jrue for Dame because we needed someone to replace Khris as Giannis 2nd star. But Dame is not good fit with Giannis and Jrue was perfect fit with Giannis and Khris when all healthy. Add the fact that Lopez is getting older and his drop defense was problem even then when we won title. And even then, when we did win, we had incredible luck with injuries to best teams.

It is what it is. Enjoy Giannis while you can and relax. Oh, and find new coach next year.

Honeslty, we always thought we'd be here after 2 games. It would have been nice to have stolen one of the first two in their home court, but it was always going to be hard, especially with Dame not at 100%.

And for people shiting on Dame, the guy has not played at NBA speed, let alone NBA Playoffs speed for a while. Even if he's 100% healthy, he's not going to be at playoff form in his first game back. It is what it is. He may not have been ready for this game, but if he does not play in this one, he cannot get ready for the next ones.

The Pacers barely beat us yesterday and they did it with absurd shot-making, home court advantage, refs on their side(slightly, but still) and some bone headed plays by us. We've been a mid away team all season long, with a record of 20-20, same as the Pacers. We play our best ball at home and as a lot of people know, a series has not started until a home team loses.

Hell even in our title year, we went down 0-2 twice and had to dig ourselves out of those ditches to win it all in the end. It's never easy.

Honestly the biggest factor right now, is Doc actively playing bad/uneven lineups. Our best lineup these past few weeks, was the KPJr/Green/Trent/Bobby/Giannis lineup, if I'm not mistaken, yet we didn't see it once tonight.

We need to be better going forward, but being back home should help us a ton.
