Detroit crowd will be ready to explode early with every made 3 or dunk. Knicks have to take them out of the game early. Get a good start. Even then how often have we seen us get out to a double digit lead only to let up or have droughts, and let the opponent back in by halftime.

I also expect to go in wondering if Thibs will make any changes or adjustments, only to see the same starters, same rotations, same giving up open threes.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Meanwhile all Rick Brunson does is stare at people and tell Jalen to take more shots. Terrible move.

I can run up and down the sidelines whispering in Thibs ear if that will help

Isn't that the guy who threatened to give Wingo a Colombian necktie?

Fast start and don't let up. That means we need to see the bench more to keep the starters fresh. Last game rotations/minutes were worthy of being fired. DET got 75 minutes and 35 points from the bench. We got 42 minutes...with one guy playing 20 of them....and 8 points. So many adjustments need to be made.

Losing this series should cost Thibs his job.

Josh's minutes needs to be cut. Mitch needs to play at least 22 mins with KAT.

These Knicks are frauds this season led by their dinosaur coach Tommy Thibs.

I still believe we'll brute force beat Pistons just on the talent advantage alone though it may take 6-7 games.

But Boston will smack us around even if they are hobbled when we face them. Sad.

Winning this series in 7 will probably still cost Thibs his job. Just like how Bickerstaff was fired from CLE because of the Orlando series, not the Boston one.

This game is going to define a lot of these guys. Can JB manage the game better? Will KAT step up under the pressure? Can Mikal and Josh knock down some shots? Which OG will show up? Does Thibs adjust and finally shave his head?

Typical Thibs BS. No bench player will ever get into a rhythm if they don't play flawlessly.

I'm not even worried about Mikal. He was feeling it in the 1st half, then JB and Thibs went ISO/Hero ball. No reason to ice out the hot hand.

Agreed. I LOL every time an opposing player attempts to shoot a three over Mitch. Josh is good at extending leads (when we can run a team off the court) but in a dogfight I would trust Mitch more.

Bench needs a player like Hart. That's what championship teams need. The more I think about it, the more pissed I get that Josh isn't taking it upon himself to say, "You know what, Thibs? Put me on the bench. They need me more."

Other than the time he took it upon himself to suggest going back to the bench?

Josh Hart suggested Friday night that a move back to the second unit could help him rediscover his do-it-all role, which he claims to presently have “no idea” what it is after starting four of the revamped Knicks’ five preseason games.

If Hart were to shift back to the bench — and there has been no indication from Tom Thibodeau that such a move is under consideration — the Knicks would have a couple of options to replace him in an overhauled starting five that features two new players in Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges, along with returning point guard Jalen Brunson and two-way forward OG Anunoby.

Mikal was the main reason it wasn't a 10+ pt game heading into the half. It unfortunate that his misses in the 4th came at such a critical time, because he was playing well before that.

I still think we win this series, as low as I am on this team. There’s no way a guy like Schroder continues to ball out
