Every time we lose, Magic fans erupt to the fire Weltman chants and they are silent when we win!

I don't think he needs to be fired, but this offseason is the time to make big changes.

Suggs played PG for a top 5 team in the East last year.

lol who gives a **** where he was slotted? The offense was ass despite having the healthiest season in forever as a top 3 defense. The bench unit looked better on offense and that doesn’t exist this season.

Suggs started next to a combination of Fultz and AB for the first 55 games of the season

Maybe Chatgpt is telling them that Fultz and AB (who in every other post is the PGOTF) are actually PFs...that makes more sense given their skill sets. All kidding aside...how can one label Suggs a PG, when he started next to Fultz (who actually IS a real live PG-just not a good one)

Oh I guess he's a good NBA PG then

this isn't even worth responding to...even when we win, it's the same recipe. Look at a typical HOU or OKC or BOS or any other good team - you won't see two BIG numbers and a bunch of single digits - even with injuries, any kind of offensive system or balanced team will have a handful of players scoring double digits every night.

BTW, averaging more than 10 points is not that big an ask from an NBA starter - I'd guess it's fairly common for 3rd, 4th, 5th options throughout the league...in ORL's case, it's the total lack of playmaking from our guards. CoJo is just good enough to show us how ugly it is without a PG - but not good enough to lead a team at this point in his career.

CoJo starting for us in the playoffs is the starting point for me. Why did Weltman put us in this position? "He expected Suggs back", and "he was getting squeezed", and "he didn't want a bandaid" are the likely answers. The problem is that Cole is so bad that, regardless of Suggs health or trade market pressure or the temporary nature of a solution, handling the Cole issue in a timely manner would have alleviated the pressures forcing CoJo to start.

Just disgusting really. Cole has been bad for a while and patience is hurting this team in the case.

I agree.

Tbh, if there is Something Weltman should be criticized for, it is the fact that Cole is still in this roster.

Weltman loves the smell of his own farts. It's absolutely ridiculous that after 7 years of him becoming GM, we're no better than the team he inherited.

Did Hennigan ever make the playoffs? Weltman has made it four times

Gee the bar is low. Especially with giving Weltman playoff credit for making it with Henny's team. Who comes in as a new GM and says, "I need an evaluation year". :banghead:

7 years later. 2 players on the team worth a darn and one of them came by having the #1 overall pick. A monkey could've done better than that by playing spin the bottle.

KCP wasn't the worst signing. If we get Jokic and Murray caliber players at PG and C then I'm sure we'll see the DEN version of KCP.

Signing KCP over Klay Thompson is still mind boggling. Klay was ALL ABOUT coming to ORL but Weltman showed him no love. Anyone think we need a high volume 40% 3 point shooter? Or are we still enamored with KCP's 1.3 spg

We're much better than the Vuc team and would've won 50 games this season if we were healthy.

GMs don't get the luxury of saying "if we were healthy". Jalen has been injury prone his whole career. One healthy year in a contract year gottem fooled. He's another guy that needs to be traded while he still has fake value.

Let's see what he does this summer before getting the pitchforks.

We d be a top 3 team in the East without injuries and that would have been a huge achievement for this young team
Suggs, AB, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, TDS , Jett
Franz, TDS, Panda
P5, JI, Panda, Moe
Wcj, Goga, Moe

Seems that Klay was bent on joining Luka and Kyrie in Dallas. He wanted a contender. I don't think he was actually interested in us. Of course had he known they were trading Luka then he probably would be interested in us but that's hindsight.

That's quite an assumption...you're giving him credit for something that didn't happen. He's lucky to have you in his corner (or up his ...) :noway:

We've seen what he does every summer.

Draft at the pick given (miss better opportunities)
Sell 2nd Round picks
Spend big money to keep the players he picks
Use FA money on role players
NO TRADES

If the only place for us to get stars is to wait for them to fall to us in the draft, then WE'RE COOKED! FIRE HIM.
