The flop by Doncic after he purposefully spins McDaniels around is indeed hilarious.

I love it!

Be my guest and get that last word in, Bob.

Just a reminder. ;)

This is going to be an interesting one. The whole first round, man. These playoffs are actually riddled with exciting matchups, which is awesome.

LA's chances are all about how much Lebron and Luka can keep up pressure, and how much the D can manage Minny.

Ant has sucked so far, but I'd be leery of expecting that to continue. I think he's suffering a bit from not driving as much and relying more on his 3. It was hot in game 1, but he was incompetent inside the arc. Minny, obviously, needs him to be on his game. That they emerged victorious in Game 1 was actually supremely impressive, and set a competitive tone for the series. I don't think they can afford for him to drop another stinker like that, though.

I can see Lakers going into Minn and being shell-shocked. We lost both games there in reg season. No data to show things would change.

Most plausible case is Lakers coming back home down 1-3.

Hear that JJ?

Bron is old and Luka cant methodically make team-involving plays.

Hope you see this Broncic

I’m looking at my notifications and Bob just started chirping at me today, FYI (excluding his marathon that started the old thread).

Reading many of Bob8's many many singularly focused posts in this thread reminded me of a movie scene. I finally placed it...

It really seemed to take him out of the game b/c he was pissed there wasn’t a foul call. He was cooking before that. Only thing I found was 1st half 6-10 2nd half 3-10. For LAL to win the series and make a WCF he’s got to be dialed in the whole time

It was not about steal. Luka just plays at the best, when games are close or is playing in hostile environment. He plays worse against bad opponents too.

Even all the post game pods said he was too preoccupied with trying to highlight show Gobert. He took himself and the Lakers out of rhythm. This has nothing to do with close
B/c he was bricking up a storm when it MIN got it under double digits.

Actually, no, not all.

This guy's reputed to hate LeBron, but even he concedes that Luka and Reaves targeting Gobert should continue and even increase in frequency. 1.11 points per possession so far.

Can he? Luka is averaging 10 points more with 67 TS%, Ant has 50 TS%. That's a huge difference. Luka is averaging more rebounds and assists too. Luka few levels better than Ant. Ant might have bigger dick.

Comparison between Ant and LeBron is far closer.

Now compare Ant and Luka's defense... Imagine comparing two players and completely ignoring half the game. Seems like the kind of logic that would claim Luka, Lebron and AR are one of the best big 3s in the history of the league.

Not this **** about defense again. Wolves are shooting 40% against Luka on 15 attempts, Lakers 43% vs ANT.

Lakers DRTG 114.8 - Luka DRTG 109.7

Where is the problem? It's basically similar to what he was last year with Mavs during western conference matchups when Mavs won more games with great defense than offense.

Luka's done quite well on defense so far, really moving his feet.

Are you saying what you're saying while realizing that the Lakers were called for MORE fouls and took LESS FTs than Minnesota, or are you simply dependent upon your faulty eyetest?

yeah Lakers need to realize the real advantage of getting Gobert out on the perimeter is that the paint is open for someone else to attack

Yup, they need Rui to win.
