It was not about steal. Luka just plays at the best, when games are close or is playing in hostile environment. He plays worse against bad opponents too.
Even all the post game pods said he was too preoccupied with trying to highlight show Gobert. He took himself and the Lakers out of rhythm. This has nothing to do with close

Where is the problem? It's basically similar to what he was last year with Mavs during western conference matchups when Mavs won more games with great defense than offense.

Actually, no, not all.
This guy's reputed to hate LeBron, but even he concedes that Luka and Reaves targeting Gobert should continue and even increase in frequency. 1.11 points per possession so far.
