Wow. I hope that he's not burned?
They said that he didn't break any bones. So why else would they induce Coma?

I hate to say this but induced coma can also be a response to traumatic brain injuries. Prayers to the young man and his family.

That’s pretty desperate. Giannis is a hell of a player but he was one smaller shoe size away from getting bounced in the first or second round his entire career.

Not sure if that speaks to parity in the NBA or poor management (Jokic is following a similar path it seems) but kinda crazy the holes these generational talents are in. Thanks, Brad.

Kyle Kuzma will be a good tank commander.

I still struggle to get over that trade. Middleton for Kyle Kuzma on a bad contract is the exact opposite of a culture move. It would be like us swapping Al Horford & DWhite for Miles Bridges and Russ Westbrook, or something.

I know they were just trying to avoid the second apron, but there had to be a better way. Notably, Brook Lopez is 37, doesn't contribute much on the boards, slows their team down, and has an expiring contract that would have made him more attractive than Middleton to a lot of teams.

Phoenix kicks James Jones upstairs to a consultancy and hires former Michigan St. assistant coach, Brian Gregory, as new GM:

Phoenix seems so consistently incompetent that they've reached the bottom where there is nothing left (outside of Booker) for the vultures to prey on. Since they have no picks or desirable players, I guess it doesnt matter who is the Suns GM.

Reading Kerr's complaints about the Rockets targeting Steph's thumb while also coaching Draymond Green is so gross. The way Green went after Tatum's shoulder and wrist in the 2022 finals? The way he kicked Brown in the head? I'll support his cause when he cuts the dirtiest player in the NBA from his team. :curse:

I find Kerr to be one of the biggest hypocrites of all-time.

303 coaches have come and gone during Pop's tenure as Spurs head coach, per Tim Reynolds. Wow.

Enjoy your retirement, Pop!

I think it was about 6 years ago. I was in Central Park New York City on a centrally located Tough court-basketball run, which was behind the Metropolitan Museum. During a full court game, I looked over and who is sitting on a park bench watching us?? it was Popp and his wife shortly before she passed away. Popp was definitely trying to keep on the low wearing a baseball cap and had a grizzly beard. But anybody who watches the NBA would recognize him immediately. Part of me wanted to stop the game and go over and say hello to a legend. But I also did not want to give away his privacy. He generally looked like he was enjoying watching us on a beautiful spring day At Central park. At some point a little later in my game. I said to h*** with this. I will never get this chance again. So I decided to stop and go over and say hello. But by the time I made that decision. He just disappeared like a ghost.

I often regret not making that decision quicker. Just wanted to add that. Not that anyone really cares 8-)

FWIW, I think your initial decision/ ultimately what happened was correct. Kinda sucks you didn’t get to say hello, but nicer overall that you let him enjoy the moment.
