Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
Assuming we stay at 29 I am hoping that one of the following falls to us:
Edge Stewart or Ezeiruaku
OT Simmons ( assuming his knee checks out)
WR Golden

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
I think we are in a good spot to do so. Word is saunders might be in free fall. Dart, saunders, milroe and TS are all interesting prospects. If the QBs take a free fall there could be a trade up rush to get them before teams like the giants and Cleveland get free shots at them at the top of the second. Also there could be a jump for running backs this is a weird RB class and if there is a early run you might see someone panic jump same with the top end of the WR class.Rafael122 wrote:Feels like the only way we trade back is if Sanders and/or Dart are still there.

he was the WR version of Antonio Gibson who's best asset was being explosive after the catch but appears to have lost that fastball. Has to schemed open which he can be done here but I would have much rather drafted someone with younger, fresher legs and not get stuck with a $20 mil price tag.
It feels like Peters' has less confidence in his draft choices than he should. Throwing away all these mid round picks for injury prone guys passed their prime is a problem we've had for years and its disappointing it's continuing.
Felton, even in round one, would have been a wiser investment.

Felton is nowhere close to being a first rounder.

My official predictions
I think sanders falls past 21, causing a QB pile up that will accumulate in a rush trade up at the end of the first in order for a couple of teams to jump the browns and giants .
More TE and RB go than people are predicting.
I think a near record low number of WR go in the first.
Trades I can see happening
Panthers falling back
I think the Steelers trade back with either KC or Buffalo
Commanders ultimate trad back with the saints for 40, 93, 131 two of which are ours . I heard they love dart and are intentionally trying to get back up there to get him.

Last few mocks:
ESPN's Field Yates: has us trading back with Cleveland. Browns draft Sanders at 29. It would be 29 for 33 and 104.
ESPN's Schrager: Shemar Stewart
ESPN's Matt Miller: Donovan Ezeiruaku
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah: Jahdae Barron
Lance Zierlein: TreVeyon Henderson
The Ringer: Donovan Ezeiruaku

If Stewart is there i bet they take him because they want a big DE that can also play well against the run. However i think they are leaning towards trading back.

Unfortunately dart went a bit higher than I thought bummer for the trade back possy. Not thrilled on taking a OT after trading for one. Have a stacked OL never hurts.

Yeah I didn't see that coming but I am all for taking a tackle. I definitely didn't buy Coleman as a tackle. Gotta protect our franchise QB.

Keep an eye on the rams tomorrow. they made a big move might make more.
Also comp picks can be traded which wasn't always the case so that makes some cool possibilities here.
Tons of teams really over loaded in the 5th 6th and 7th rounds. Teams might be willing to unload some of those to move up some spots and as a team sort of depleted on draft capital I'd do that in a heart beat.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
If Conerly adds some muscle and Coleman beasts at LG, this could be a great pick.
Giants taking Carter and Eagles big D-line and Parsons twice a year makes adding a RT a good move.
It’s good value for money also considering how much good tackles make plus potential longevity. JD5 is our superpower. Gotta give hime time and protect him first.

In the second half of last year the rushing attack hit a wall. No push from offensive line. JD5 ended the season as #1 leading rusher on scrambles. Two big upgrades at tackle and Coleman to guard makes this a strong unit. I like this mentality and approach.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
I like the pick. I understand it. There were times where as soon as the ball was snapped, it felt like there were two defenders in the pocket. Our offense was really good and even then it still felt like we left points on the board.
Kiper said if he stayed 1 more year, he probably would have been a top 5 pick.

I just heard that we had the 9th most QB pressures in the league last year. Obviously we got away with it because JD5 is that dude.
With a stronger o line we can take more shots downfield.
