Knicks still suck. Too bad they were too dumb to not slip to 4th so they can wreck the Cavs in the 2nd round...

We had 4 players score 20+ points and we still barely beat a trash pistons team. Thats how awful our defense is.

The game was not as close as the final score, the Knicks pulled away then all that BS happened. But you also got to take into account that Hardaway Jr and Schroeder aren't going to hit like 14 straight 3s every game. The Pistons didn't even shoot extraordinarily well either.

Really professional performance. We responded well every time they went on a run. But these kids won't roll over like the Cavs & 6ers did, we'll have to put them down. Really like what they've got brewing up in Detroit.

Hoping the rotation gets tweaked a little so we don't get anymore 3-guard lineups. Even with the dual bigs, that group is just too small on the perimeter. So we should play Deuce or Shamet next to Brunson & the starters more, letting OG / Bridges / Hart rest a little, so one of them can stay on the court at all times. Rolling some iteration of:

Brunson - McBride/Shamet - Bridges/Hart - Anunoby - Towns/Robinson
Payne - McBride/Shamet - Bridges/Hart/Anunoby - Towns - Robinson

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

How close to a disaster was this inbounds play with 5.8 seconds left in the game? Was it a backcourt violation? I think we got lucky because that could have easily gone against us.

So what's the right play here? Throwing the ball into the backcourt, hoping JB can run down the clock and, if fouled, sink two free throws? Or passing to a wide-open OG under the basket for an easy two—which would likely leave a few seconds on the clock, but put us up by five? I personally think Bridges should have passed it to OG for the easy 2.

Well damn, didn’t even notice that.. good catch. Mikal botched that one big time. Hart should be the one making those passes

These dudes are disrespectful but they failed to secure their home court so maybe they should focus more on hooping instead of being fake tough. The only one of them that's crazy enough to really do something is Stewart and he's out.

I think we need to come out in Game 4 looking to run them out of the building

they will blow detroit out game 4, took THJR heroics where he was all time hot to keep em in the game(and that french midget to an extent) but like how all things even out he turned back into himself in the second half and sucked. Thats why hes been shipped time and time again, screw Tim Hardaway too, bald head midget. They did a good job on Cade 10/25, imagine if Brunson had a game like the best player( ) in this series just did. Knicks in 5

Wright should legit get a chance especially with how bad Deuce and Cam have been the last two games.

Was thinking exactly the same thing. Like you put Wright in there and you have size, defense and shooting. I still think that if you bring Hart off the bench in a 25-28minutes role the team will be much better off. His lack of shooting is hurting the team and enabling Detroit.

Brunson
Wright
Mikal
OG
KAT

with Deuce, Hart, Mitch off the bench and then Shamet/Precious. I honestly think if you gave this Knick team to Spoelstra he would be taking the Pistons completely apart.

You do not want Hart inbounding...he is way to fidgety with the ball.

What is it with Thib's infatuation with Hart? I mean we all love Hart's grit and mentality but wouldn't it be much more rational to have Hart in the 28minutes range and increase the shooting/spacing out there? Like is what Hart provides sooo irreplacably good that you are ok with Detroit guarding us 5 on 4 ?

Does not seem to make any sense to me. Hart played 38minutes per game this season and is at 37min. against the Pistons. We have guys that can defend and shoot (Wright) and/or Shamet who could provide a couple 3s and open up things even more....I don't get it really.

And we are lucky that Ivey is out so far. I mean he is legitimately their second best player and we probably have no one that could match his speed and athleticism.....

Actually thinking about it...if Ivey can sustain his improved shooting, the Pistons have a pretty nice backcourt for years to come...

Hart actually had a pretty solid game. He made plenty of hustle plays and key reads. He kept on the move on the offensive end so his lack of shooting didn't impact us nearly as much as in recent games.

Still, I think he's best suited for a 26-minute bench role.

I think our biggest fault area in game three was the constant unnecessary helping off of 3pt shooters (THJr in particular). There were several times that Hart/Brunson/etc shouldn't have been helping off their assignment which led to wide open three's. Someone else was already helping or the help wasn't needed at that particular moment. If we stay disciplined and smart and mainly help off of the non-shooters, we'll be able to blow them out next game. But Thibs' teams lack discipline.

Yeah he can be at times, but I’d still prefer him making it.

Not only did Mikal miss OG, but he almost caused a backcourt violation passing too soon to Jalen.

Plus if Jalen, OG, and KAT aren’t open, I’d rather Mikal be shooting the free throws instead of Hart.

I hear ya. I think they use Mikal because of his size and low turnover rate. I would need to see the play live to see where Harris was leveraging because anything can look different on a still shot. Also brunson should have continued to just run to backcourt...he made a dicey decision to come more in the front court which made not a great angle for the pass.
