This is like being mad if the Hornets trade down from 4 to 5 this year and we get a few 2nds and take Tre Johnson instead of VJ Edgecombe.

Shai was the 11th pick, 10 guys went in front of him including Bagley, Sexton, Knox, Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter. Trying to play revisionist history that it was a bad move at the time makes no sense.

I give him full credit for being their best player last year. Dude went out balled every damn night basically. In a lost year.
I think he stayed on the team because, despite his previous mistakes he is a hard working player. The whole improvement every day stuff. If he doesn't relapse into idiocy again I can understand.
