Isaac and Goga both need to play. The 4 and 5 guard rotations aren't working when Boston is only playing 3 guards.

Isaac is our best defender and didn't play in the last game.

Let’s all see how many sets we run with our shooting guards running plays or having plays run for them. Hint…none

To be fair we need a shooting guard that can actually shoot.

I don’t think we lack a good set shooter, I’m leaning towards us not having a good offense to generate good passes and shots. KCP and Caleb can shoot perfectly fine we just can’t seem to get them the ball with any frequency or consistency.

I think we lack a good scorer that in the mold of Ross or more of a stylish offensive player for sure, but I don’t think that absolves Mosely of the responsibility for running plays for KCP that get him his preferred shots.

Too many players come here and suck at shooting 3s for it to be a player issue at this point.

I agree our offensive sets or scheme is borderline atrocious. They just let Paolo/Franz take turns breaking down the offense. We also however don’t have another guy who can consistently create for themselves. KCP has to be literally wide open for him to shoot & we saw even how he did last game when he was.

Right now the only player who can look for their own shot is well…Cole Anthony lol. I do expect him to see more minutes in one of these home games. Boston offensively is already looking for the mismatch anyways so they’ll definitely hunt him, but you just have to hope he can make shots because nobody else has shown they can besides Paolo/Franz.

I see no reason why we shouldnt give this front office a chance. They positioned us nicely. Not many remember in how bad place we were when they took over. I am also eager to see more Anthony Parker influence in our moves.
Suggs is the more obvious candidate for a trade but he is also the heart and soul of the team. His injuries happen becouse he does too much not becouse he is glass. He is a winner and culture setter.
For me Franz is only unmovable player on the team. He just processes the game on different level. I believe his shot will get better becouse he shoots at high volume even when its not going in.
That leaves me with Banchero. I agree his play lately is impressive but the impact on winning is lower than you would think. Cant manipulate opposing defense, cant anchor our defense, relies on midrange game too much.
If we didnt had Franz it would be a different scenario, but i just dont see a good team building strategy with both of them. Still Paolo plays on really good level against Celtics.

I'm struggling to understand how the Magic have played terrible defense when the Celtics scored 103 in game one when they were at full health, and 109 in game 2.

Slow pace = fewer possessions

Boston is killing us in eFG%, offensive rebounds, and free throw rate

They're still shooting around 45 percent for the series though. They shot 43 Percent from 3 in game one. But held them to 32 percent in game 2.

This, on top of the fact we're forcing them to play a slower pace and they're not playing their style of basketball that would lead to blowouts and shooting at an average rate shows the Magic are playing good defense.

I understand the intangible/advance analytics. But the Celtics aren't bombarding this team the way they would want to and typically do at their best.

Isaac needs to step up.

I only bring up sets because the broadcaster for game 2 on my stream was talking about how stunned he was that Orlando didn’t have anyone that could run sets outside of Franz/P5 yet Boston had a ton of players who could run them.

TBH I’m not sure P can run one either and Franz isn’t that much better

Brown and Jrue are questionable, and Tatum is doubtful. Brown was added as questionable on the 1230 pm est injury report.

Yea that don’t run sets, to be honest Goga would attempt to run sets at the top of the key and elbow. Goga wasn’t horrible at all at it, I mean, at least somebody was trying to get something moving.

If nothing else, you don't play a series against ORL and come out of it without a limp. Same with HOU in the West.

I like it - not dirty, just a team nobody wants to see.
