Queta would have been great in hindsight.

I may be alone but I’m happy for this loss. These guys needed an early gut check. Scraping out a last min win would have masked sloppy play all night and bad discipline would have creeped into a more critical game. Turnovers murdered us long before the “refs” did

Tatum was incredible as normal, But the others needed a gut check for sure

Jaylen gets a pass from me, was really cooking in the first half before that brutal foul from Cole Anthony and lost his rhythm understandably after that.

A few things...

Maybe Brown can dribble more? Still no left hand

Need to move Porzingus in the offseason. Soft as Charmin and can't operate in the paint. Looks like a baby deer trying to take it's first steps when he's on the floor.

Celtics best big is still Horford. That's bad cause he's ancient.

They really have no depth. For all the talk about how great a drafter Stevens is, all his picks sit on the bench because they suck so much they can't get on an NBA court.

We were going to lose one against these guys, so I am not concerned. Yet. We need to win the next game.
How they took away the three ball from us is concerning though.

Joe, as usual, is the weakest link. When is he going to learn when go call the timeouts? It’s been 3 years. Let them figure it out is not a strategy, it is idiocy.

And Boston will respond better with Jrue BIGTIME I bet.

We didn't lose the game on defense. They didn't crack 100 again
We lost it with our poor execution and TOs
93 points is pathetic for this kind of talent

Just be a man, take the punches they handing us on defense and play harder and smarter. Play faster. OKC would have won by 40 each game because they go on a fast break or transition baskets every time
We play slow, let them settle, hack and push which makes our job harder

That's the problem, we don't have fastbreak guys.

Pace is one of the weaknesses of the Cs.

Guys like PP and Sam are just not athletic enough.

And Jrue and White are not above the rim kind of guards.

Brad is going to have to get guys like the Thompson twins.

I agree, I’ll give you that one for sure.

This is what a team looks like without “depth”, all our celebrated guys outside of the nets picks were turnover factories.

Honestly, we were Orlando. They were just the better Orlando tonight.

I'm bummed

Some issues:
Playing only 8 guys with JB being one of them and he's injured ... it's just guys get tired and playing so much slower as the game goes on
We only attempted 74 FGs -- thats slow pace.

The basic bowling pin offense where it's 7-10 split with two guys standing in the corner makes it so tough to get looks, esp Sam
KP was lost and just played bad... but FT line postups were not generating anything tonight

JB (5) and JT (7) TOVs, can't win with those guys netting 12 turnovers

Oh well ... I thought this was the game to sit JB, play more dbl bigs and get Craig, Baylor in the game.
But Joe's using 9 so far this playoffs -- starting 5, PP, Al, Sam, Luke -- and that's it

Now if Brown is back to QUESTIONABLE for gm 4, this becomes not an ideal situation.

Still, a fun game. Why is Payton missing FTs? ARRRGGGG I HATE PLAYOFF LOSSES

definitely this.. imagine needing more talent to beat this team. One on One-no ball movement is so pathetic for a playoff game.

I don't know ... it was nice, I thought, to have a few possessions with no risk of JB dribbling into a turnover ...

He came up with some key plays early in the 4th too, when the rest of the team looked shook and we had nothing going for us.

totally ... Jrue is made for games like this
And honestly, Payton needed to step up. PP had 3 pts with 3 TOVs and missed a FT in agame we lost by 2

If they don't win it all he has to be fired. That would be two titles left out there that they should of reasonably won.

When guys like malone are getting fired not even two years after Denver's only title ever then wtf should Joe have protection?

Only one TO in the 3rd quarter **** and I can't imagine another coach who wouldn't have been more proactive.

He shouldn't be fired if we lose to OKC in the finals. Or even the cavs really.

and "Jaylen Brown sat from 4:07 to 0:48. Was stunned he didn't go back in during the timeout at 3:12. #Celtics were down 4 by the time he returned with only time for two shots max. Boston only got 1 off."

I dismiss this outrageous claim that either of those teams are beating the Celtics.

The only chance they have comes from our **** coach doing what he does. Which 80% of the time is nothing.

Return to Boston Celtics
