This move is high risk/high reward.

Still irks me that McCarthy only had the Wildcat QB Cobb only throw 2 passes the entire time he was here.

High reward but you are talking about your 5th WR and or special team guy. Love the roll of the dice on a Cordarelle Patterson type.

We have a creative offensive minded coach and we’re stocking the cupboard with a variety of weapons and asking him to mold them into a juggernaut offense.

I love it.

Yep. This is an admission that the 2022 WR investment failed.

Doubs was a decent route runner and had decent hands but is the epitome of average when it comes to height, speed, etc. He would have been OK as a 3rd WR but GB lacked a 1 or even a solid 2. Then he walked out on the team and got concussed, repeatedly.

Watson is a great athlete who has trouble tracking the ball, had iffy hands, and lacked instinct for the game. He also got hurt a lot even before he tore his ACL.

Good to see Gutey acknowledging what Josh Jacobs and Jordan Love publicly acknowledged and MLF undoubtedly privately made clear, you were not winning anything of significance with last year's crew of WRs.

It may be factually correct that he’s currently the 5th guy but it’s not like there’s 4 bonafide guys ahead of him. When you consider:

-one is is a concussion away from never playing again and even when healthy is a 2 at best

-one is mostly a slot guy

-one is a talented route runner with size but hasn’t shown a track record for being able to catch the ball

-and one is another rookie

Can't wait to see how MLF utilizes this dude. Could be a really nice weapon in the red zone especially.

Just watched a whole bunch of highlights of this guy. Holy Balls. Makes catches in traffic and well defended. Runs over people. Tough as nails. Just makes plays. Think we will hit the jackpot on this one.

Between Golden and now Williams, they added a lot of speed to the WR room. Hopefully Jordan can correct all the underthrows on his deep balls.

If you just showed me their reels I’d believe Sav was the first rounder and Golden was the 3rd rounder. Love this pick so fricking much.

I can’t recall someone of his dimensions being so fleet of foot. Slippery even. So sudden and doesn’t need a head of steam at all to get going.

I’m absolutely bullish on this one. If he figures out his hands he can be an absolute star.

There were a couple of plays in those highlights where he hits like a TE. He could be lined up anywhere

This dude looks fun.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Savion Williams was 185th on my board. Chasing Deebo is usually a losing bet. I hate today

I'm trying not to be mean, but your board was filled with players who sucked sh*t.

I love that savion is a completely different wr then Golden. This guy is that tall beast that can highpoint balls with his height, or lineup in the backfield. Also could be fun on quick slants and short stuff.

Definitely created some diversity and brought some different skill sets into the offense.

Agree on all the issues with the current wr core.

MLF does a great job of getting WRs open, and not asking Love to be a superman every down like Rodgers had to do with MM coaching.

I'm on board with loading up on wr and giving MLF ammo to his strengths.

Watson's dad's reaction was actually pretty positive on this one. He liked Williams size and said it was what the Packers needed.
