I can’t remember the last time a QB took as many sacks as Sanders in college and was actually successful in the NFL.

I disagree somewhat. To me, NFL Culture is overrated.

Teams will pay child abusers and rapists millions as long as they're talented and show up for work. We literally saw that last night.

But the difference is that QB is literally a position so critical that, if you get it wrong, you're gonna find yourself out of a job moreso than you would say drafting an OT who is dumb enough to record himself smoking weed or some EDGE who raped girls in high school and in college.

It's messed up but that's the reality. If what is being said about him tanking interviews is true, no GM or Coach is going to risk their jobs over it.

this is true, you gotta have some evil on your team to win.

there's plenty of guys that fall in the draft every year cause they got cases but the teams that are picking them see a lot of success. just look at the eagles and chiefs and the characters on their team. the ravens just picked mike green, as long as your team has strong vets that can keep the locker room clean, it doesn't matter, it's all about winning

It's unfortunate but true. They will overlook a lot if the talent is there and you can be an asset.

It still doesn't make it right. Like in a sane world a rapist isn't gonna get picked before a kid like Sanders. Yeah he's confident and what not, but he's not a POS and he does have talent.

i honestly think we should pick shedeur and let him and jaxson dart compete to be QB1 in 2026. nothing wrong with a little bit of competition. it'll make them both mentally tougher and better

That’s impossible to ever happen.

You spent a first round pick on him. When you do that. Your saying your the future.

We already have 4 QBs on the roster and one of them is gonna get cutlet cut

The Ravens have a lot of picks today. I wonder if they will take a flyer on Shedeur? Can't hurt to sit and learn behind Lamar.

i dont think they will do it but i think they should. i mean the eagles gave carson wentz $100m guaranteed in 2019 then drafted jalen hurts in the 2nd right after the season and that worked out great for the eagles. sometimes you gotta put pressure on your players and bring in some competition not just crown them

when you don't have a guaranteed QB of the future, i think holding 1 extra QB over the standard 3 isn't that big of a deal

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/draft-expert-shedeur-sanders-meeting-giants-hc-brian-daboll/
Snippet:
“The friction centered on some frustration between the two regarding Sanders’ preparation of an install package. It seems the interview process as a whole — beginning in Indianapolis, as I reported a few days after the Combine — has negatively affected the leaguewide perception of Sanders during the lead-up to this year’s draft.”

McShay elaborated on what happened during an episode of his podcast “The McShay Show.”

“Shedeur’s not in play at No. 3; Shedeur’s not in play with the New York Giants [at all] as far as I’m told. Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit. An install package came in, the preparation wasn’t there for it. [Shedeur] got called out on it, didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it. … The interviews did not go well.

Sanders’ personality has rubbed some people the wrong way throughout the pre-draft process. Sanders admitted that during his team visits, he was interviewing executives just as much as they were interviewing him, and that didn’t sit well with everyone.

“When I go visit these coaches and when I go to all these different franchises, I ask them truly what I think and how I feel,” Sanders said. “Some get offended, some like it, some don’t. [I] make some people uncomfortable, some people invite that.”

Now teams looking for a backup might not want a headache as Sanders is a starter. I actually wanted Sanders over Dart initially. But I’m starting to see why he wasn’t picked. And Deon is the icing on top. He has headache written all over him.

A coach or an exec gave his number out to someone to troll him. This is beyond foul man. I seriously hate the NFL right now.

Billionaire boys club in full effect in the group chat…But yeah some will still deny it.

I said this before the second round even started. It was obvious to me what the play was.

At this point everybody is better than SS. He not even a NFL talent.

Next thing you know ….

A injury prone QB 25 yr old player , A running back masquerading as a QB, and then Gabriel gets picked before him. :nonono: :nonono:

2012 Redskins took RGIII #2 overall and still took a second QB in the fourth round (#102) so there is precedence. Kirk Cousins had a better career than RGIII too.

I don’t think that the Giants will ever consider it now especially if the rumors about his interview are true but at some point the value of the player overrides the lack of need at the position or room in the QB room.

Sound bites, and clips are out there and they don’t sound great, but they are also very far from new. Someone suddenly being a top 10 pick and falling out of the top 100+ picks is a wild.

There are people facing cases with legitimate jail time that get picked before day 3 and they aren’t playing the most important position in football

McShay is well connected and if this is true, it’s definitely not a good look on his part.

Personally I hope he takes this moment and has a chip on his shoulder to make A LOT of coaches and front offices look bad

in hindsight, all those reports that shedeur was in play at 2 or 3 were clearly false. maybe early on in the process but those that were near the draft were all fake news

I think the interest from NYG was real. Maybe not at 3, but trading back into the first to get him i think was an option in play until it wasn't.

If he tanked his interview with Daboll by not reviewing the material and coming in unprepared, when there is literally recorded evidence that Daboll wants to test how you grasp his concepts, that's entirely on Shedeur.

We will never know to what extent this account is true, but it would be ironic since Deion famously did the same thing to the Giants during his draft process.

Whoever did that is a piece of sh*t.

Why would you leak a prospects number? That's as unprofessional and unethical as it gets

Ahedeur has just been a media, Deion and fan made 1st round pick, with none of the skill for that. Someone make a strong case to me why Shedeur is a better NFL prospect than Kyle McCord and Quinn Ewers.like why is Shedeur a 1st and McCord and Quinn are 4th at best round prospects, when they have similar profiles.

All the guys that were drafted have better mobility and arms than Shedeur. Better prospects. That's it.

Love the Giants draft. 3 of the 4 were players I wanted in Carter, Dart and Skattebo. And I like the DT we got too.
Big name draft. Something to look fwd to next year.

Return to New York Knicks
