Im guessing the browns drew the short straw and drafted shadeur just to shut the announcers the **** up. No enthusiasm whatsoever behind that pick lolz

Looks like he has some ties to their qb coach. Hopefully they can develop shedeur.
Rooting for him but damn they've got 5 qbs and the browns are the Sacramento Kings of the NFL. It's gonna be rough there.

They had no plans to draft Sanders, rather decided last minute when he fell so far. In hindsight maybe they would reconsider if they knew he would be there in the 5th.

Re: OT: NFL 25 Draft and Beyond Thread
Why is anyone feeling bad for Sanders? The kid literally brought this on himself by being unprofessional in his 1st job interviews. This was the NFL sending a message that you will do it their way or you are replaceable. Want to show up late and act like a fool? Great, your draft starts in round 5. No signing bonus and no guarantees. Be humbled and get to work or there is the door.
As far as the Giants, this is one hell of a draft. Carter was a no brainer. Let us see how Dart develops under Russ and Winston. Alexander is a beast next to Dex. Skatt is another dynamic option to pair with Tracy. Mbow is a steal in the 5th to shore up the OLine depth. Let's not write this season off yet. Expect creative Daboll back with more dynamic players on the offense and defense.

Wide receiver in round 4. Arian Smith, a speedster, but might need some polish in the other areas.
Does he have a decent route tree? We don't need another Hyatt![]()
We need to find a WR2 badly
I don’t think Nabers, Slayton, Wandale and Hyatt is that bad. If Wandale could just stay healthy it’s pretty solid. QB play is partly to blame for them being underwhelming.

Might end up helping both the kid and his dad. This is a wake up call.
Now Sanders (both of them) have some rules set before them, the whole league and the fans saw this crazy thing unfold.
Cleveland now has the upper hand in this sense.
Sanders’ just got neutered with a chance of reconnecting the tubes in a few years.
This “neutered” talk is wicked. What is this? Buck breaking? Y’all are wild with the schit that comes out of your mouths.

Giants only team with A+ draft grade

https://www.si.com/nfl/2025-nfl-draft-grades-analysis-for-every-team#_q9iab20se
New York Giants
Grade: A+
• Round 1: No. 3: Abdul Carter, edge, Penn State
• Round 1: No. 25: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
• Round 3: No. 65: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
• Round 4: No. 105: Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
• Round 5: No. 154: Marcus Mbow, G, Purdue
• Round 7: No. 219: Thomas Fidone II, TE, Nebraska
• Round 7: No. 246: Korie Black, CB, Oklahoma State
Analysis: After a miserable 2024, the Giants could soon be headed in the right direction after delivering an impressive draft class featuring plenty of talent and filled needs. Carter, who drew comparisons to Micah Parsons and Von Miller, could be a future game wrecker playing next to Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence II. Dart isn’t a surefire QB prospect, but he’ll now get to work with coach Brian Daboll, who has no interest in rushing his development after he announced Russell Wilson as the starter. And let’s not overlook the selection of Skattebo, a hard-nosed running back who can also make plays out of the backfield. —GM

Re: OT: NFL 25 Draft and Beyond Thread
Jets with B+
New York Jets
Grade: B+
• Round 1: No. 7: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
• Round 2: No. 42: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
• Round 3: No. 73: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State
• Round 4: No. 110: Arian Smith, WR, Georgia
• Round 4: No. 130: Malachi Moore, S, Alabama
• Round 5: No. 162: Francisco Mauigoa, LB, Miami
• Round 5: No. 176: Tyler Baron, edge, Miami
Analysis: The Jets had to fix their offensive woes in this draft, and they did so by targeting that unit with three of their first four picks. Membou is arguably the best tackle in this class and should slide in as a starter at right tackle. Taylor was thought to be a borderline first-round talent and slid to New York in the second, giving the team another immediate starter. Defensively, Thomas is a nice value pick as well, and will have time to develop behind Sauce Gardner and Brandon Stephens. —MV

Unless the giants do something this year, daboll will be gone by next year anyway, stash/ developmental picks don't work for the current regime
