I wouldn't be worried too much about Clippers. Because we have tons of defenders that we could throw at Kawhi and Harden.
They'll be tired if they advance in 2nd round. Dort, Cason, Caruso, J-Dub can rotate on Kawhi and Harden.

In the West, I'm mostly worried about Lakers. Dončić is the only guy who can manipulate our defense from possession to possession, we saw that last year.
Also, in clutch he's more calm and creative than Shai who doesn't have such vision and passing ability.

Ofc, if J-Dub plays like true 1B option, then no one can beat us.

Rest of the team is elite on defense and just fine on offense so far. JDub playing on another level on both ends of the floor though. I like our title chances a lot more if he can keep up like this on offense.

I’d rather shai struggle and the team play great than vice versa like happened in the playoffs last year.

The only big takeaway from this MEM series is that this OKC team wants it baaaaaad.

I'm convinced we're going to the finals. No one in the West scares me right now.

Any of you on the Seattle area? Would love to find some thunder fans to get together with and watch a playoff game.

Sadly, no. Not anymore.

Fun idea though. If anyone is in Dallas I'd do the same.

OKC and Clippers are by far the best teams in the West right now. I'm really worried about how good this Clippers team looks and they are peaking at the right time. Should we win? yeah of course, but it won't be easy.
Gives me Mavs 2024 vibes (another team peaking at the right time with elite defense) but I know our roster is more experienced than last year and we improved a lot with the addition of Hartenstein and Caruso.

clippers has almost 20 tov% against the thunder this season, this defense is s nightmare for james harden to play into, they'll need the ball a lot in kawhi's hands

also there's the battle for pace. thunder a top 10 pace team, clippers a bottom 10 pace team. how do you impose a slower pace if you can't avoid turning the ball over, over and over?

zubac is an enigma to me, though. i can see him playing extraordinarily well vs thunder, but i can also see him just being too slow

Well that looks like Thunder 2024 postseason with only SGA hitting his shots...at least we have some offensive rebounds thanks to Hartenstein

a bit off topic but are we trading Kenrich this offseason? love the guy of course but I don't think he can help us that much and he isn't playing.

Presti loves his depth for during the season and Kenrich played in 69 games. I expect him back, but it probably depends on how many draft picks they end up with and how many guys Presti likes/wants in the draft. He shouldn't be part of the playoff rotation, but you can make an argument for his depth during the season given the injury history of Chet. I'd like to see a consolidation trade to improve the top 8 of the roster, but I'm not sure Presti is going to do that given his reluctance so far to make a big trade and dip into the war chest.

Wouldn't be surprised if we go for a Kenrich + Dieng + small salary and picks for Cam Johnson. It was kind of a bad timing at the trade deadline because of Chet's coming back from a big injury.

i'm completely convinced these multiple dips in the teens are underrated in value

Should we root for Denver? It's scary to face Jokic but the lack of depth from that team is such a huge factor.

Who are you trading away, with draft picks, as salary dumps to use the picks? OKC currently has the maximum 15 players under contract for next season. They could potentially dump Kenrich with a 2nd and maybe Dieng with a 2nd or two. Would you rather do that instead of combine assets to bring back a proven player? I suspect Presti will try to trade the picks in this year's draft for future picks unless there is a player he decides he really likes then he'll attach a 2nd or two to Dieng to open a roster spot.

Keep in mind they will already be breaking one rookie into the rotation next year in Topic. How many rookies do you want to find playing time for on a team that is chasing championships?

He never crosses my mind, but now that you bring him up he has three more years of guaranteed contract.
