It’s not inconclusive. During the warriors rockets halftime they showed video that they say the referees relied on. It’s an overheard view and clearly shows Gordon’s hand off the ball at literally the frame the lights came on.

It was already a made basket though. It's not the same as a jumper. The basket already counted the moment it went past the rim. The fingertip stuff is irrelevant at that point.

If you were correct, then all those "in and out" shots that roll slightly in the rim and back out would count. Ball has to fully clear the rim to be a made basket.

TNT never showed that angle. When they showed the refs watching the court table monitor, it wasn't an overhead view either. Maybe the refs back in Secaucus saw it.

Relax it’s not nonsense. Not everyone has an ulterior motive. It’s a super close play and some people like me find it very interesting for now and future reference. If it takes a specific replay that wasn’t shown during the actual game it’s not nonsense.

Both teams are such evenly matched it’s crazy. Basically shot the same from the field and from 3.

Ya we shouldn’t have to watch a separate broadcast to know if the right call was made

Just you.

Sorry that my opinion hurts you two so deeply. I would report you and him for backseat modderating but its not that serious to me.

There’s no fault in having an opinion. But when said opinion isn’t based in any sort of substantial reality, it should certainly give one pause.

I used to make all sorts of negative posts against guys I didn’t like including Lebron but I’ve learned to appreciate the greats more the older I’ve gotten. These are the players we should be propping up, not tearing down at every opportune moment. Deny it all you want but Jokic is an ATG and any little jabs or condescension towards him won’t change anything.

Jokic knocking out Lebron two years in a row doesn’t affect his greatness. This shouldn’t be that hard of a concept to comprehend.

based on what though? for 3/4 games the clippers offense has been nasty. It's going to be another battle to the end like game 1/2/4

Idk what games you’ve been watching but the Clippers have looked like the far better team in this series. They’re deeper, aren’t reliant on one guy to generate all their offense, and have the personnel to dig down on defense when it matters (as evident in this 4th quarter). Should be a 3-1 series if not a sweep right now.

The Nuggets starters as a 5 have been better than the clippers for the series but yeah the main issue is the Nuggets have no depth. They got a small win with Westbrook being hurt even with his ups but they need help. That said the clippers depth hasn’t been all that great and it greatly relied on Batum having insane shooting.

Den has to dig deeper into the bench playing Jordan and these other guys isn’t working even in spurts. I would let the third string guys get a chance at this point all you need is 5-10 mins

Just awful video crew in the end of that game. They never showed the best angle (overhead) and they never even slowed down and paused the video angles they did have, to better see the moment the light went on. They kept letting it play right past it.

Um, yeah they did. They literally showed it during halftime.

EDIT: Wait I'm drunk af. I meant to say ABC showed it. But yes, they showed an overhead angle that they confirmed the refs themselves saw which is what made them decide the basket counted.

Yeah, at halftime of the next game, not at the end of the game they should have shown it in.

His 2nd to last 3 attempt I would agree was dumb. His last 3 attempt he had little time left when he got the ball outside the 3 point line. He had to take a shot or get violation. It was a dumb play call.

He had 12 seconds to get a shot off. Plenty of time.

No. It was 13 seconds when Harden started the play. He tried to get around a defender then passed the ball to a wide open role player near the 3 point line who looked at the bucket and decided to pass the ball to Kawhi with 5 seconds left. Kawhi was outside the 3 line with a defender in his face and another nearby. He looked to drive and seeing defenders set up for it decided to take a jump shot 3. I remember thinking that's so dumb for Harden to run the clock down and do that. Go back and watch that possession.

First of all, my bad I was talking about his first 3 point attempt in the clutch where he had 12 seconds to set up a good shot. His last 3 point attempt was a catch n shoot with 5 seconds left on the clock k. That's still plenty of time to pump fake AG out and pull up for a open look closer to the basket.

Yessss

I was yelling at the tv to stop the video when the light turns on but they just kept playing the video back and forth without stopping at the moment that actually mattered.
