Giants declined Evan Neal’s 5th year option. He definitely hasn’t been playing anything close to a $16.7MM contract. Imagine if he was a half as good as AT

still truly one of the biggest mysteries, he was both the bpa and safest pick and is unplayable

nobody saw him being a colossal bust

he had a 6.7 grade and nfl.com is very stingy with their grading

Having need and bpa fall to you feels like such a great draft. Not to mention all the picks except 2 were 30 visits which means they already had eyes on players and got them. Schoen was shocked to see Mbow there .

Might end up helping both the kid and his dad. This is a wake up call.

Now Sanders (both of them) have some rules set before them, the whole league and the fans saw this crazy thing unfold.
Cleveland now has the upper hand in this sense.
Sanders’ just got neutered with a chance of reconnecting the tubes in a few years.

This “neutered” talk is wicked. What is this? Buck breaking? Y’all are wild with the schit that comes out of your mouths.

Thanks. I read the tea leaves well.
Good luck to SanderS’ not f’n this up (again.)

Can we get a poll on grading the Jets’ and Giants’ drafts? I haven’t been following.

I don't know about the Jets but the Giants had a great draft. Its like they couldn't believe some of them fell to their laps.

Everyone is saying the Giants had a great draft.

A if you like Dart, And still probaby a good draft overall even if you don't. Outside of Dart having some doubters, everyone seems to loves the vaue they got with their first pick and rounds 3-5.

Jets draft looks solid. The lineman at 7 was a safe, respectable pick to improve the line. The tight end and CB rounds 2 and 3 are both young players so theres potential there. Wide Reciever round 4 could go either way. I think the Jets did fine, but I haven't seen anyone give them an A. Mostly B's in the write-ups.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

New York Jets
Grade: B+

• Round 1: No. 7: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
• Round 2: No. 42: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
• Round 3: No. 73: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State
• Round 4: No. 110: Arian Smith, WR, Georgia
• Round 4: No. 130: Malachi Moore, S, Alabama
• Round 5: No. 162: Francisco Mauigoa, LB, Miami
• Round 5: No. 176: Tyler Baron, edge, Miami

Analysis: The Jets had to fix their offensive woes in this draft, and they did so by targeting that unit with three of their first four picks. Membou is arguably the best tackle in this class and should slide in as a starter at right tackle. Taylor was thought to be a borderline first-round talent and slid to New York in the second, giving the team another immediate starter. Defensively, Thomas is a nice value pick as well, and will have time to develop behind Sauce Gardner and Brandon Stephens. —MV

Jets needed another WR too

• Round 1: No. 3: Abdul Carter, edge, Penn State
• Round 1: No. 25: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
• Round 3: No. 65: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
• Round 4: No. 105: Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
• Round 5: No. 154: Marcus Mbow, G, Purdue
• Round 7: No. 219: Thomas Fidone II, TE, Nebraska
• Round 7: No. 246: Korie Black, CB, Oklahoma State

Analysis: After a miserable 2024, the Giants could soon be headed in the right direction after delivering an impressive draft class featuring plenty of talent and filled needs. Carter, who drew comparisons to Micah Parsons and Von Miller, could be a future game wrecker playing next to Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence II. Dart isn’t a surefire QB prospect, but he’ll now get to work with coach Brian Daboll, who has no interest in rushing his development after he announced Russell Wilson as the starter. And let’s not overlook the selection of Skattebo, a hard-nosed running back who can also make plays out of the backfield. —GM

Unless the giants do something this year, daboll will be gone by next year anyway, stash/ developmental picks don't work for the current regime

The schedule is absolutely brutal so we're not gonna have a winning season but our defense and offense should be much better. I don't think he's getting fired unless he loses the locker room

Yup the Internet sucks for a lot of things but calling out people for dumb **** like this certainly isn't one of them. People need to know there are repercussions for your actions.

im guessing he had access to his dad's work email or something. Man this kid is a dummy and someone filming it. Can't teach stupid...His dad could get in serious trouble for this even if he didn't play a role.

Yeah I saw that. People jump the gun before all the facts come out. I saw some people on the Internet coming at his 19 year old daughter which isn't cool.

Apparently wasn't even at ole miss. Was at Barry University where Ulbrichs son goes.

People want their pound of flesh so the Giants are the ones being targeted.

Like I think it sucks that Shedeur fell but if what happened in the interview with Daboll is true, what were the Giants supposed to do?

If that didn't happen and he interviewed well, i wouldn't have been mad at all to trade up to get him like we did with Dart because I think he can be developed into a good QB.

At least for the Giants there is some rationale about it. What about everyone else? Steelers. Raiders. All passed on him several times. Why aren't ppl getting after them?

Whatever. I'm glad the little turds who did that got caught. Honestly I think the father should be fined and suspended. How did that brat get into his phone? That's on him.

lets just say he had a bad interview with Daboll. Thats just one team. It would be kinda crazy for him to bomb nearly every interview unless he just took the entire draft process unseriously...

Yeah it's one thing if he completely messed up with Daboll. Fine. What about everyone else?

All the dirt will be coming out in the next 48 hours so we'll find out. This is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. The kid is not a 5th round grade so something definitely happened.

Either way, it's over now. I'll be rooting for him to take that Cleveland job. I hope he's angry as hell and locks in.

Dirt already started to come out...

Todd McShay was the one who put that out regarding Daboll's interview with him. So you got that.

Assistant Coach said it was the worst interview he ever had: https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-pro-execs-scouts-coaches-rank-and-evaluate-the-top-18-prospects-in-this-qb-class?campaign=nfl-np-af-pa-2018653&affiliateId=21181&affiliateCustomId=126006X1587338X7ff4c45c2fd925d9514a936dce3ac3c1&clickId=5068552108

Sanders' section included testimony from an anonymous assistant coach, who said that Sanders was "The worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates. . . . But the biggest thing is, he's not that good."

Image

There's been numerous reports that this is a really weak QB draft class. Even Cam Ward the no.1 pick, some had him pegged as the 10-15th overall prospect. But because this is a QB league, he will go no.1. I've seen Sanders ranking as a 2nd rounder. If so, then he needs to show out at his interviews, combine, pro days, etc. So he bombed a lot of the interviews, didn't do the combine since he thought he was a top 5 pick and pro day was what many scouts saw on his tape.

There are some 2nd round grades that slid a few rounds every year. He is not immune to that.

Yeah I've gotten the impression that Shedeur is sheltered. His father has coached him his entire life. So maybe he thought this would be a cake walk, but bombing interviews...I can't defend that. He should be going in prepared to make a good impression and respond to questions/do white board stuff. Out of any position in the league, a QB is going to have the most rigorous evaluation because it's the most important position. I find it baffling honestly that he and his Dad would think it's a good idea to disregard the interview process. Deion was literally facetiming him during an interview. That's unacceptable. I'm a Sr. Manager at company and if someone did that, their resume is going in the trash. Same principle applies here.

I don't care that he's confident, flashy, and believes he's really good. He should be confident. But you've gotta put in the work and this was a literal job interview. You have to approach it with 100% focus and intent to make teams want you to be apart of their organization.

Every generation has rotten people. I don't even understand what's remotely funny about messing with people on literally the most important weekend of their lives. Like does it make you feel better to cause someone distress?
