what a W without robin!
batman with an incredible perfomance carrying the load on offense all game long.
draymond with another masterful performance on D. he was clearly trying to prove a point after been negleted once again for the DPOY.
post couldn't shoot to save his life but he was a lion on the glass and on D.
kuminga meh, that was a great chance for him to step up but he looked he has regressed on most of his game. his drives look always off-balance, it looks like he doesn't have the proper footing and coordination when going at the rim. his footwork, his spin moves they looked like they did 4 years ago. that's why he cannot beat his man consistently and efficently, the power is there, the athleticismm is there, but power is nothing without control.
good games from GPII and hield but the team overall (except superm...I mean batman :D ) shot bad, honestly too bad considering many were open looks. even dray, I mean I understand he's not a "shooter" but he could have nailed at least 1 tree for a change, some of the shots he took in the first half especially were open. 14/45 from 3. at home. moody 1/5, podz 1/6, post 0/3, dray 0/4. the hell was that? I expect the dubs to have at least 1 game in this series where they nail the open looks and blow out those thugs out of the building.
speaking of those thugs, the only negative note of the night is that none of them end up the game hurt. hopefully karma will take care of them (and the officials and that human gargoyle disguised as league commissioner who are the main culprits for allowing such display on a daily basis, this is not playing "tough" this is playing "dirty". but evbidently they can't tell the difference), they are unsportmanslike, even players like sengun and van vleet always go with the full weight of their bodies on other guys, there were a couple of situations where sengun could just put his body before podz trying to contest the drive instead he literally went on him with all his weight when he already drove past him for no reason, well the reason could only be one, to hurt him. some calling him clumsy, yeah right, that's not being clumsy, that's been dirty. there are levels in making a foul or play "physical", they always go to the limits of what should be allowed in a contact (again, the officials are a bunch of pigs) and that's why they deserve to end up hurt. bad.

still incomprehensible how kuminga cannot do the same and play like him.

GPII has that championship pedigree in him. Steps up and produces when called upon.

And this is why Kerr trusts him, even when the RealGM coaches want to bench him for Pat Spencer.

Enjoy Steph Curry while you can. The man is a marvel. I wish this team were good enough to win him a title.

Can't say this enough, and I think some of the younger fans here may be a bit spoiled if all they know is Steph. When he's done, you're never getting another one like him in this lifetime. Sure, the Warriors will eventually get another star, or maybe even superstar... but there will never ever be another Steph Curry.

That's a good way to put it, I think you're right that something just isn't right with his footwork and balance that isn't allowing him to finish reliably. I don't know if it's something he can correct or not but it's definitely not something that comes to him naturally. He just has no touch around the basket most of the time and I was thinking it's because he has bad hands (he does), but it could have more to do with his lower body.

I just have no fear of Sengun. He is the weak spot in Houston’s armor. Not saying he isnt good. Just not nearly as good as his numbers suggest.

During the regular season games, the Warriors got out to over 20-point leads at least twice and Sengun was in the lineup when the Warriors got big leads.

Houston actually came back in those games, won one (in the play in) and lost the other in OT. But Sengun wasn't in the lineup when they came back.

In this series, the Rockets are trapping every time with Sengun and Adams. They're not going to allow Curry to hunt one of their centers and play one on one.

If the Warriors role players could shoot consistently as the ball rotates out of those traps, they'd have had more comfortable wins.

Curry on offense no point in saying anything, everything has already been said, but he is underatted defensive player too, Green is defensive genius, you dont win the game without him, Payton great game, Podz decent game also, Post had a great game defensively and rebounding the ball, if he can merge his last game with his usual offense, improve some decision making, he can be a good starter , unfortunately Kuminga another bad game, Kerr great coaching, overall great, great win

Credit where credit is due Kerr was masterful in this game. That Curry/GP pick and roll just eviscerated the Rockets game plan

There were a ton of fans that actually wanted to trade Steph.

Warriors as a team shooting 35.8% from 3 after these 3 games.

https://www.espn.com/nba/team/stats/_/name/gs/golden-state-warriors

But it's mainly Curry shooting over 45%. A couple of players are shooting 40% or better with low shot attempts, Jimmy, Kuminga and GP2.

Buddy shooting 37.5%.

this is a major issue that needs to be addressed. not just for the remaining of this series. guys must shoot better, especailly with space and not very contested shots.

eh, but it's a statement that cannot be made especially on the GB becasue the vulgate out there is that he is a liability on D despite the evidence.
but good to see there are people out there which are not casuals or blind or biased and understand that.
green is a real genius on D, the real DPOY of the league with no disrespect for the others. what he did defensively in the second half was masterful.

I was at the game and it was pretty crazy we won. It’s also pretty crazy the Rockets got the 2 seed. They better add a #1 option at some point

Sengun is Sabonis and the rest of that team are jailblazer knockoffs

we sweep them if Jimmy doesn't get hurt

Return to Golden State Warriors
