I dislike barca greatly because of their history with certain players. Eto especially it was disgraceful how he was treated on his way out. I only have 2 players i would probably be considered a superfan for.

R9 made me fall in love with the sport

Messi reminds me why i love the sport. He is old now and clearly not close to being the same player. But i basically grew up watching Messi. The amount of times me and my brother just started laughing at this little dude making world class defenders look like scrubs is forever etched in my mind.

I know 70s fan in this forum has watched plenty of football as well so he can probably name a couple of players he probably rates over messi.

But for me. As an argentina fan as well. Messi is the best player i've ever seen.

Very jealous you got to see him! Even as a youngster this dude was balling out.

I've watched a lot of football (I've been a Valencia member for over 20 years). If someone puts a footballer above Messi... don't believe them. He's the best player in history by a wide margin. It's not a matter of taste, it's simply indisputable. Seeing him live in his prime was totally unreal, and I'm speaking to you as someone who has seen his team violated multiple times and in every possible way by good old Leo. He has had multiple seasons where he's been the top scorer (surpassing historic records) and at the same time, the top assist provider... which is a paradox in itself.

At his peak R9 was right there.

**** hell man peak R9 is the goat to me  But overall it's easily messi to me. Just ridiculous what this man has done.

R9 is Ronaldo Nazario..? Yes, in my opinion the best center forward in history..but..his prime (the year at Barcelona + 1 year at Inter until the fateful injury) was extremely short due to his knee injuries, yes he continued to be incredibly good and effective...but even in his best year (47 goals in 49 games) he is still in another stratosphere (where only Leo is) Messi scored 73 goals in 60 games) and that's without taking into account that Leo is much more complete, since he not only scored goals, he was also the maximum assist provider and went down to receive the ball in his own half to organize the play

Blown opportunity for Houston last night. What was up with Sengun, it looked like he had the yips when trying to shoot most of the time.

GSW just beat 2nd seed healthy Houston Rockets without their 2nd best player Jimmy Butler.
I REALLY don’t understand where is this Steve Kerr hatred is coming from.

That’s kind of stupid statement to be honest and I’m not a fan of either club

Real squad worth its more than double of Athletico at almost 1.5B compared to 668M Athletico

I know money doesn’t play on the pitch but come on it’s not 10 or 20% net worth difference, it’s over 110% difference

In comparison the club you rooting for AC Milan operates at 1,425B very close to what Real operates , what make this Milan if Athletico is little brother ? Sad losers with huge bankroll ?

For **** sakes Ark im just doing some shithousery it's not that deep

I dont watch much soccer. I only watch during World Cup. Fan of Messi that 2022 watch was amazing for me. I personally prefer rugby more. They need to incorporate more rugby elements to basketball. Bring back that 90’s physicality. I wanna see Lebron down on the floor more, wanna see more passion and guts. Stop shooting 3’s bron, drive it to the hole damn it

Is there a website glitch, am I on the GSW/Rockets thread?

you’re probably going to feel worse if DrayGod hip checks you, give that subtle elbow hits to your ribs, and that forearm sticking to your kidneys

Can we just get one game in this series where Steven Adams plays 25-30 minutes?

Because he can’t shoot outside of 10 feet.

The faster you realize the 2 bigs setup does not work, the better for your team. This is the modern NBA, that’s not going to work in the playoffs, long-term.

Don’t both the Thunder and Cavs have “2 bigs setup”? And their both the #1 seeds that soon will have swept their opponents so far?

Context is important though. Both Mobley and Chet are mobile bigs that can effectively guard the perimeter on switches, are amazing weak side defenders. Sengun is not that type of player and will get exposed by most 4s defensively. He’s also not a perimeter threat at all so spacing will be all messed up.

By the way Steph is showing why again he would dominate in the 1990s. This is a 1990s style series for sure and Steph has been far and way the best player on the floor. Not much difference from the 2010s is it?

I REALLY don’t understand where is this Steve Kerr hatred is coming from.

I think people get frustrated because Steve likes to mess around with rotations, players minutes and combos during the season. That was one thing when we could sleep walk to the playoffs. It’s been problematic when we’ve struggled the last few years.

Correct take: both of them of would destroy the ‘90s.

Nah prime athletic Lebron don’t shoot the ball well enough, will have a hard time in the clogged paint of the 90’s.

High iq and 3pt shooting Lebron is slower, can be outmuscled in the paint (has trouble vs big bodies like Jokic, Gordon, Randle for example which the 90’s dont lack)

Now I’m not saying he won’t be a top 5 player because he will be for sure, just that he won’t dominate as much because of the clogged paint and bigger inside players/shotblockers which are imo his “weakness”

Also the idea that there is a Lebron that combines his earlier athleticism with his later IQ and shooting is false. There are spurts where he shows both Ofc but not consistently so don’t say Lebron combines both shooting and IQ and athleticism because he maybe had one year two year tops where he combined all that (2012-2013)

Incredible is right. Draymond's defensive (and offensive) IQ is other worldly. Weird tangent but in tennis there is a huge thing call anticipation....it essentially means you know what the players next shot will be BEFORE they make it. Draymond sees the next move before it's made.

I happen to think he his pound for pound the greatest defender in history. He guards every position and all of them, except center, he'll have the defensive advantage. Kind of sucks that 7 footers get the DPOY all the time when they can't guard three of the positions.
