We were up 10 with 3 mins left in the game, we lost this game. Just an inexperienced team

Tbh they should have been swept. Very lucky to win game 2. Idk if it’s pathetic or amazing they got a game in this. They definitely shouldn’t have been in the playoffs. You can’t have Ausar Thompson as a starter, with Cade as your go to guy and such little size inside.

Just soooo many holes on this team due to poor drafting and not being smart in free agency

Na, we should have swept the Knicks.

No Stew, no Ivey, but we can't beat "the man" too

Stew would have made 0 and mean 0 difference. He’s only 6’8 and very small.

I do think with Ivey we could have pushed this to 7 games because he’s the type of playmaker the team direly needs right now. He’s everybody from a prime time player standpoint that Cade is not.

Bullsht... One of the best defenders wouldn't make a difference? His toughness and hustle doesn't make a difference? It doesn't show up on the stat sheet, but I'm guessing you've never played basketball.

No.. We would have swept those bitches with Stew.

Lol the one time Duren shuffles his feet on D Towns hits a crazy fade away. I'm not even mad about it

This one will be hard to get over.

Think about how everything had to go perfectly right for the Knicks. The 3-4 Hail MAry shots that KAT, Bridges, Brunson hit, the in and out shot by Cade late, the non-foul on THJ. Credit to the Knicks for hitting a bunch of big shots but this was the Pistons game and it was taken from them by the Basketball Gods and the stripes.

Knicks have traded all their 1st and every other asset they have to get to this point. I think we will be ok moving forward as long as we don’t make really stupid choices.

Well it seems to be paying off because the Pistons have been so unlucky in the draft lottery that it obviously isn’t a viable way to become a title winning level team

I wanted Detroit to win
I cannot stand the Knicks

But I dont understand what world people are living in that they would think the refs are going to call a foul on a broken play three pointer to decide a playoff game. I know its frustrating but its just not going to happen.

How about not turning the ball over 457 times and making a couple of shots and it wouldn't have come to that?

I also cannot stand KAT but he won that game for them. Its too late now but I think the Pistons need more of Schroeder and less of Hardaway IMO

Nah bruh building blocks. I'm hoping this is the "heartbreak" series that makes teams better in the long run.

Also I know all of Detroit hates Brunson and I now do as well. But the angle he gets those shots off is wild man. Especially with his build.

They'd rather focus on that than deal with the fact that Cade didn't get it done.

Let me ask you this? Do you think the refs blow that whistle if it’s Brunson shooting and the Knicks down 1?

We lost it, some poor play late.

They won it, some big shots.

And please stop quoting Homelander, jeezus.

If they had made that call I don’t think even Knicks fans would’ve questioned it. Way too blatant. The pump fake was smart and resulted in a foul.

Dude. He had the game in his hand. Twice. And came up empty. Twice. 1 turnover. 1 missed point blank shot.

I thought about that while I was posting. I'll give it to you that Brunson would more likely get a call than Detroit but I still think it gets let go either way in a playoff game with no time left. Now say if there were 20 seconds left, I think it gets called.

Pistons put themselves in that situation.

Disappointing, but I didn't expect the Pistons to win this series. Cade is probably the best player, but the Knicks have the next 4 or 5 best after that; with that mind, the results are pretty much what you'd expect. Getting bumped down to 5 in the draft lottery 3 straight years despite having been far and away the worst team probably limits this team's ceiling.

Return to Detroit Pistons
