KCP is better than Simons in most advanced stats.

Pass on KCP, do not want his contract on the books.

Thats the takeback for the 16th pick. It would need to be three team trade or re route him to another team. KCP still holds some value on defensive end. Some contender like Clippers would take him.

Sure.

Simons is one of several guys that could help with ORL woeful shooting and not cost the world.
I don't think our front office will give up that much assets for him. I like McNeeley with our 16th pick and Walter Clayton Jr. with the 25th pick. I don't think they trade our picks. Walter Clayton is from the area, too.

Maybe they will blossom as shooters in 3-4 years.

I think Clayton is a shooter right now. Lillard, Mccollum, and Clayton all played 4 years in college and put up similar stats. Clayton was in the toughest conference this season.

Would you move one of Franz or Paolo for Giannis?

I'm watching Portis and thinking it would be nice to have another big who could guard the perimeter.

Yes, trash tier.

It’s like Amare Stoudamire with godawful awareness. His athleticism does not translate to in game situations.

But he is still the most productive scorer on the Blazers team this past regular season? He could be a great sixth man of the team imo

Houston is in a good spot to trade for Giannis. They have a bunch of picks and salary flexibility.

If that’s the offer, pass for POR.

I did one with Cole/Jett/WCJ for Simons and Clingan...now I think pretty much everyone is up for grabs minus Suggs/Franz/Paolo. So you can probably play with a bunch of different variations of players. Plus probably one of our 1sts this year and maybe a future first I dunno. (I just wanna use one to get Clayton) Also I don't know how Portland feels about Simons and Clingan...didn't watch much Portland so not sure who you guys are infatuated with or not. Also...keep in mind I don't mind waiting a year to get Simons...I'd imagine we would be the leader to get him since he was hanging out with Penny's kid at the game yesterday and is named after Penny.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

I honestly do not care what we do with our 2 first round picks as long as one of them is for Clayton. This makes too much damn sense. Florida hero who is from Lakeland...who can run the pg...who will get as many open 3s as he wants next to P5 and Franz. And I'm pretty sure we all saw he can make wide open 3s. It makes too much sense my head hurts....so obviously we will trade one pick and use the other on Wolf because he is a gigantic Michigan player.

AB/Clayton
Suggs/KCP
Franz/TDS
P5/JI
WCJ/Moe/Goga

Now this will work...I'm willing to keep KCP if he is willing to go to the bench. I do not like Suggs as the PG...he is too emotional...let him be the off guard wreck havoc on D and hit 3s. Throw AB into the starting spot and please god draft Walt

Orlando trades:
Cole Anthony, Anthony Black, Jett Howard, 2025 ORL frp, 2025 DEN frp.

Utah trades:
Walker Kessler, Colin Sexton, Keyonte George, 2025 2nd (mocked #43 via Dallas)

Why for Utah? They have a million bigs and no guards or wings. This shores up their back court should they land Coop. AB is a big piece they can build around. Ainge gets his multiple picks so he feels like he won.

Orlando lands their rim protector, quality rebounder, and screen setter. They get their back court draw to pair with Suggs and a better fitting prospect in George for second unit scoring. People won’t like adding AB, but Utah isn’t giving away value to Orlando just because.

Trade Carter for a backup point guard and expirings somewhere.

Trade 2:

Orlando trades:
Wendell Carter, Cole Anthony, 2025 ORL frp , 2025 DEN frp, 2026 ORL frp.

Portland trades:
A Simons, Rayan Rupert

Orlando finally lands elite back court creation. They get a decent wing prospect from a team with a crowded guard rotation.

Portland gets 3 picks. They can focus on building their future back court. Carter makes some of their bigs more expendable for other moves without sacrificing a ton of cap.

The bottom line is that Orlando isn’t going to land everything they need in this draft. Use the picks to address the issues with the starting lineup, and not to fortify the bench. Get Paolo and Franz the help they need sooner than later.

Trade #2 is a significant overpay. Expiring and 16 is good enough for Simon’s.
Some posters here are infatuated with Simons because he lives in the Orlando area.

They are offering crazy trades like Wendell and the #16 pick for Simons. Wendell alone has more value than Simons. I remember Suns fans wanting Wendell for Ayton. Ayton is expensive and is BBQ chicken on the perimeter.

His contact looks pretty good. $11m in 2025, $18m in 2026, $19m in 2027, and then a team option.

That's close to a MLE contract for a player who was #20 in defensive EPM last season. Wendell and the #16 would pull a way better player.

AB was top 4 on our team in the playoffs. This is sad from our other role players standpoint and good signs for AB.

The problem with AB is he doesn’t take play making pressure off Paolo and Franz or has the shooting.

AB hopefully raised his stock. You move him if you get a player with play making and shooting to better complement our stars.

AB is the 4th most valuable player on our team. Not sure how you upgrade guard without moving him.

That was my only explanation of these crazy offers for Simons. JRoy has stated many times that Simons is garbage on defense. It's 50/50 that Mosely would even play him in this series. Offering 2 assets for him could end up being a huge setback.
