I’ve always said he isn’t a pg. Common posts. “If only the three point shot of player x…” We need shooters and a real pg. it takes us more than half of the shot clock just to get into our sets. But yes… Let’s run it back with this awesome roster.

That is just an overwhelmingly obvious thing…there is just never an “easy” offensive possession…it’s always a scramble with a last second shot. The more you watch, the more glaring it is…I honestly don’t understand the way they dribble the clock down to :05 time after time…it’s no coincidence that there’s almost never more than one pass in a half-court set…beyond the setting & resetting stuff before Paolo or Franz, inevitably turn their eyes toward the basket. Fatal flaw…what’s so wrong about swinging it early and taking good shots before it becomes necessary to watch the clock with one eye.

Jett or TDS.

Agree…there was some regret that we didn’t get AB (and G League Jett) any meaningful playoff exposure last year…let’s see what they’re made of. Sometimes pressure reveals something special. I’d like Jett to make5 threes on national TV…to give him some trade value.

Btw, Tatum could be called for picking up his dribble 10x per game…they all do it now, but he’s a really blatant offender. They did call it once, a couple of games ago, but he’s got a lot of pauses and Carrie’s in his perimeter dribbling.

One more thing to take away…banged-up Tatum & Brown BOTH played over 40 mins to finish ORL off…the champs know they’re in it with ORL. Also, their 3pt % & volume was way off where they like it to be.

Also, CoJo had a nice little stat line of 5-8 from the field, 2-4 from 3, 6 asts with no turnovers…honestly, I don’t remember feeling his impact as a PG…it felt like we sunk back to 100% iso-vile.

Paolo is closer to passing Tatum than I thought.

In the 4 games in this series...

Paolo: .516 TS% on a 37.6 USG%
Franz: .509 TS% on a 33.7 USG%

Just not good enough. 0% chance of having a successful offense like this.

Passing him in what way? Certainly not on the basketball court in any capacity.

That is INSANE

Tatum is one of the five best players in the league.

He's very good to great at literally every element of basketball - scoring, shooting, passing, rebounding, defending, durability, playing a heavy minutes workload.

Paolo isn't on the same page. Paolo isn't even on the same chapter. He's barely in the same book.

Paolo needs to learn to pass more. I've been calling him out for that this past month. He puts his head down and goes 1 on 5 with several players open on the perimeter.

Suggesting Paolo is anywhere close to Tatum is one of the crazier things said around here in at least a couple of days

And to say it coming off a game where Tatum was spectacular and Paolo was a steaming dog turd is especially funny.

AB doesn’t have a single assist during the playoffs?

Tatum was 4.4 OBPM and 0.8 DBPM for a total of 5.2

Paolo was 3.4 OBPM and 0.2 DBPM for a total of 3.5

I think that's the difference. Paolo is still rising, and Tatum has leveled. Paolo will be on his level soon.

If Paolo has a completely healthy season next year, he'll receive more MVP votes than Tatum. Book it

We're always a victim of the last game when we evaluate players. After the first 2 games, many people were calling Paolo a future MVP. If Paolo drops 45 in game 5, it'll change the narrative again.
