Trade
Wendell Carter, Cole Anthony, #16 to Portland for Anfernee Simons, Rayan Rupert,

Draft
Walter Clayton #25
Rocco Zikarsky #46

MLE
Davion Mitchell

Simons/Mitchell/Clayton
Suggs/KCP/AB
Franz/AB/Rupert
Paolo/Isaac/TDS
Goga/Moe/Zikarski

Deep bench: Cojo, Jett, Houstan

The other move I would do that isn’t part of this thread probably has something to do with KCP for a solid backup 3/4 so AB can get good backup minutes at the 2 in that easily shiftable guard rotation.

I love all of this...I've started to feel like we need not only a combo guard that can do a bit of everything with or without the starters (Simons being the best option among them, imo) and also having a REAL PG, like a better younger CoJo, who can move the ball around and direct traffic...Davion Mitchell has emerged as my secret PG crush too...he's getting good minutes in MIA and he's a pretty good fit next to Herro...I wonder if he's in play. I think you might be overpaying for Simons, but I'd do it exactly as listed as Rupert might be interesting...I can't say I've thought about him since pre-draft.

Good one. Thanks for playing

Rupert is just an excuse to match players to get Cole off the roster in the Simons move without needing to field another random trade.

If they don’t believe TDS can switch as a “3” they need another move instead of a 3 guard rotation behind Franz.

Agreed.

Would still need a center who can be a long-range threat.

But I get there are constraints with the game associated with this thread.

Brook Lopez might be available for the taxpayer MLE ($5.8m). Bobby Portis could be available in a sign and trade. Maybe Goga, Jett, and both second round picks for Portis.

JI, Jett, 16 and two 2nds
for
Cam Johnson

It gives us a legit 9 man rotation

Suggs, AB
KCP, Caleb
Franz, Cam
Paolo, Cam
WCJ, Moe

Goga, TDS as 10/11. Both will get time throughout the year and given opportunity to beat out guys ahead of them.

Pick up Gary well because its what they will do so no reason to fight it.

Sign Tyus 2 years 12-14million. Prob start him and have Caleb as reserve.

Pick a pure shooter with Denvers pick.

I really like Cam. He rates really high in advanced stats. That's what OKC did last season. They added 2 of the highest advanced stats players in the league with Hartenstein and Caruso. Then, just let everything sort itself out. I'd rather replace Cole for JI.

Cam is #25 in offensive EPM, one place ahead of Ty Jerome.

Coby White/Lonzo Ball for Anthony Black/Caldwell Pope. But probably 2-3 more deals need to happen realistically.

I do like JI over Cole... Kind of. But if we kept JI where does Cam get his minutes? I think for Brooklyn this trade is enticing. Get JI on a great descending contract + Jett who has now 2 years of league experience with no playing time and the 16th pick. They are not going to pay Cam his next contract. Claxton and JI could be fun haha. Jett could definitely get some run with them and who knows.

Just checked and BK has 4 1sts this year. Doubt they want anymore unless they plan to trade them all for a star.

Haven't seen a realistic trade yet, but good low ball starting points for conversations. Most is taking Magic garbage and packaging with a mid to late round 1st for a legit player.

I know people want to move on from WCJ, but man when I see these proposed lineup where he is removed I just see a team next year with no shooting. ???/Suggs/Wagner/Banchero/Goga is a brickfest waiting to happen, no matter who the fill in the blank point guard is.

I'm not expecting any big earth shattering movies.

I think the most obvious trade...if Portland wants to get rid of Simons is for him. You can do a bunch of different variations of players in that trade so it's whatever you prefer...But Portland gotta be willing. This is the one I went with.

Simons and Clingan for WCJ/Cole/Jett one of our 1st this year and probably future first. Not sure if Portland wants to give Clingan but again all kind all kind of variations you can go with on this trade both ways.

Then please for the love of God just draft Clayton. Too perfect for this team...the amount of open shots he will get next to Paolo and Franz.

Then just add shooting with the MLE please. Trent maybe

Simons/Clayton
Suggs/AB
Franz/FA/TDS
Paolo/JI
Goga/Moe/Clingan

I dunno...probably pipe dreams...I'd be happy with getting Simons and drafting Clayton. Shooting improves immediately.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

I'd go something along the lines of

OUT
Anthony
Isaac
Black
Den 25

IN
McCollum
Herb Jones

FA (non MLE or room MLE if we are under) Cory Joseph 2 years $3m p.a.

PG: McCollum Suggs Joseph
SG: Suggs KCP Howard
SF: Wagner Jones KCP Houstan
PF: Banchero Jones WCJ TDS
C: WCJ Wagner Bitadze

Draft: Haven't watched a ton but impressed by De Larrea. Very Magic pick, direct Black replacement.

Why isn't De Larrea in any mocks? He'll be 20 this year. Can he not defend?
