Were those 11 seasons played consecutively?

Btw @Drygon - why did you include All-NBA Defensive Teams in your opening post, but not All-NBA Teams? We can all agree the latter are more important, right? I'm asking because I wouldn't even think that you may be biased here, so there's for sure an objective explanation.

LeBron will have 10 more selections after this season. This is ~top25 career of alltime on its own (26 players have 10 selections or more).

By the way. Getting a three peat is really, really hard.

The Dubs never did it. Lebron never did it. Duncan never did it.

Nobody else has done it in the modern era, except Shaq-Kobe one time from 2000-2002.

MJ did it twice. 91-93, 96-98

Russell played against plumbers and electricians. The league was 8 teams and the average player then isn't good enough to warm a bench now.

Your argument suggests that Robert Horry is better than MJ. And completely discounts the 500 extra games it has taken Lebron to amount to anything close to MJ levels.

Lebron is not the GOAT and that is okay. His longevity is GOAT, his output at his age is GOAT. But career to career, player to player, MJ is GOAT.

Man, lebron has been horrific in crunch time these past two games. Lakers winning in 7 is still on the table due to them still having the 2 best players in this series, but LeBron has not been good in crunch time this entire decade.

So you're saying LeBron at 40 is still a better player than Anthony Edwards? Say no more Rust. That's some GOAT **** right there.

ANT 4th quarter points tonight - 16

Lakers - 19

Lebron tonight:
0 points in the 4th quarter
0-3 in the clutch
2 turnovers in the last 3 minutes of the game.

Get out of here with that garbage.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Anthony Edwards is incredibly overrated, but LeBron in crunch time as been beyond horrific, like killing their chances in a series as a 3 seed bad.

I just notice your new sig with that 1/29, I don't have much time to verify all with your strict metrics of 5 seconds but can you check again? Is LeBron in Lakers uniform with all this clutch shots in 5 seconds or less? I'm just concern with people calling you a stupid hater spreading lies just to hate on LeBron but can't even fact check with what you use as sig. Where are you even getting this stats, some facebook group full of LeBron haters?

Russell has 3 all-NBA 1st teams, didn’t win Finals MVP in 1969 as he put up 9 ppg shooting 39.7% from the floor and 58.3% from the line.

Here are Russell’s teammates:

1956: 2 all-NBA 1st team
1957: 2 all-NBA 1st team
1958: 2 all-NBA 1st team
1959: 2 all-NBA 1st team
1960: 1 all-NBA 1st team, 1 all-NBA 2nd team
1961: 1 all-NBA 1st team, 1 all-NBA 2nd team
1962: 2 all-NBA 2nd team
1963: 2 all-NBA 2nd team
1964: 2 all-NBA 2nd team
1965: 1 all-NBA 2nd team
1966: 2 all-NBA 2nd team
1967: 1 all-NBA 2nd team
1968: 1 all-NBA 2nd team
1969: 1 all-NBA 2nd team

There was no all NBA 3rd team back then.

Getting curb stomped with HCA, multiple series costing turnovers in multiple fourth quarters (although for a 40 year old he was good in the series overall) but getting destroyed like this with HCA is really really bad. Lakers have never ever lost in their history in round 1 as a 3 seed or higher. LeBron continues to break records.

Lebron was fortunate to play in the significantly easier conference for most of his career.

 Rust Cohle had this post queued up and ready for the second 40 year old LeBron got eliminated

I think his most impressive feat is still living rent free in so many people's heads as a 40 year old. Most players would be ineffective or retired, but he's still owning some serious real estate.

Please cut out the constant baiting posts if you want to keep posting on this forums.

Hahaha you can’t even defend this performance. The idiotic he’s still a top 10 player despite an absolute sieve defensively. Horrific in so many fourth quarters in this series with one series costing turnover after another.

Incredible player, nice career even if tons of players won titles at his expense. But this face planting is really really bad. To go out with a whimper.

Maybe he’ll have more time to buy real estate since playoff basketball isn’t it anymore

It's telling that the expectations for him are still so high as a 40 year old. That's why he's the GOAT though. He had the 2nd best playoff BPM before tonight.

No other player was expected to play like the #1 player in the league at 40. GOAT expectations for the GOAT player though. Comes with the territory.

nobody said play like the #1 player in the league, just don't have multiple games of multiple fourth quarter no shows with turnovers costing your team the series. It's over Taj, second best all time, adding more and more dubious laker records by the day.

You are in absolute shambles right now, the whole series was a nightmare for LeBron. One of the worst defenders in the league.

I mean this is horrific, period
