Unfortunately the Finals Game 4 blowout skews the stats for that series but this literally feels like a more competitive series than the Dallas Finals.

A win tomorrow will put the Celtics at 20-4 over their last two year's of playoff runs which is prettttty, pretty good.

It should be an obvious 2 things we want. Quick extermination of Orlando and No injuries. I feel good about the first part.

The real question is how is Jrue's hamstring feeling. Needs to be 100% because even the slightest "twinge" can reaggravate the injury.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

It may seem like we haven't had good offense in this series so far since we haven't even cracked 110 pts in any of the games, but since the pace is so slow, our WORST offensive rating in our wins is 115.1, would've been good for 10th best offense in the regular season. The Magic had a defensive rating of 109.1 in the RS. So even as they've taken away our three-ball, we still have been able to score.

G1: 118.4 ORtg
G2: 122.5 ORtg
G3: 102.2 ORtg
G4: 115.1 ORtg

‪John Schuhmann‬

Ranking 1st round offenses by points scored per 100 possessions vs. their opponents' points allowed per 100 in the regular season...

1. Cleveland: +22.1
2. Indiana: +7.5
3. Boston: +5.3
4. Minnesota: +5.1
5. Oklahoma City: +4.8

(Heat allowed 112.0 in reg. season. Cavs have scored 134.1 in R1.)

#1 and #2 don't impress me. Heat are a shell of themselves post-Butler and Bucks are a mess, with or without Lillard. We at least know Magic are a great defensive team all throughout the year and we've had some success scoring on them still.

what IF -- and I know it's never been done and never will be -- what IF the Celtics rested their rotation in G5 and went with

JD/Scheierman/Craig/Tillman/Queta
with only Walsh off the bench?

then played the same lineup in G6?

Then back to full strength G7?

I am -- full disclosure -- completely joking, but I'd bet at least a few of us are kinda into it, am I right?
You could talk me into it. F the Magic. Let them TRY to beat the Baylor Fireman back to back games, you won't:)
(and it could work too, if Tillman hadn't turned to stone some time in September)

Thought player movement was way better in gm 4.
I looked at the nba.com passing stats and Celts are 230.5 passes per game, edging out Detroit for fewest passes/per of the 16 playoff teams
Indiana (like last yr) leads with 342 passes per.
I hope we keep increasing player movement and improve the ball movement too. JT last playoffs was 6.3 assists but this year so far JT 3.7 assits
I expect JT playmaking will get better -- but guys moving more to get open will help that

Sam Hauser breaking out of his slump was GREAT to see. Hope to see Sam just keep getting better and have a BIG gm 5
Luke just isn't making a dent ... maybe this is not his series... Would Queta be worth a try? I think so, but the team may disagree.

Lets win game 5 for Al's age and JB's knee!!! The boys need a few days off !!!

Once again, the series should not have seen a game 5

In the Celtics defense, NBA first round series should revert back to a best of 5
With all 5 games if necessary played at the higher seeded teams court

These long drawn out series are ridiculous. Any Team can take a night off
Less games makes better competition

‪Bobby Krivitsky‬

Holiday being out for Game 5 tomorrow should come as no surprise. His hamstring injury requires as much time to recover as they can afford him.

The Celtics won't rush him back and risk having to finish this playoff run without him.

Jrue Holiday is out for Game 5 against the Magic tomorrow.

Jaylen Brown - Right Knee Posterior Impingement - QUESTIONABLE

Jrue Holiday - Right Hamstring Strain - OUT

‪Bobby Manning‬

Third straight game sidelined by the hamstring for Holiday, which has reduced the margin of error for the #Celtics

R1
Holiday ON +19.2 net rating
Holiday OFF +4.9

Off. rating dropped by 8 pts per 100. C’s allowed 6 more pts per 100. Big swings.

The magic don't play much basketball, instead they play more basketBRAWL.
