Did you just make this up? Who wanted Brunson benched? I don't always do the game threads because the yo yo emotional responses play to play are ridiculous takes most of the time. Bench Brunson? Jesus.

Nah, there were definitely some dudes who saw Brunson get hurt (not in Game 4, a previous game) and say stuff like, I hope Brunson doesn't come back.

The whole reason why it seems like the whole forum is united in rooting for Brunson is that he also doesn't really have bad games that often. Even with his weakness, defense...it's clear that Brunson is trying (maybe trying too hard, considering the fact that he keeps taking charges). Some players on this team have haters, and there's lots of material for it. The Brunson haters are there but there's just not that much material. For example, take that postgame thread after game 1, where you had some dudes pop out of the woodwork to blast Brunson after we won that game and call him selfish. It was kind of desperate imo and people called them out on it.

If we lose to the Celtics or Cavs badly, those guys will pop up again. We just need to revisit the postgame threads for games 1 and 2 for Philly last year...a bunch of dudes having the time of their life and they rarely post again afterwards.

Brunson may be the best Knick ever. G2 and the last minutes of the first half in G4 sort of proved that even an elite player ... with a coach who is doing too little to rein stuff in ... can mess up a winnable game

Did MJ win before Phil got there? No. Can one guy do it alone? No.

Defenses will clamp down on anyone if you make it too predictable. The NBA has become an ISO league, there's no question about that, but some things still shine through ... guarding one guy much easier than guarding 5, even if the other 4 are not all that good

sham can make it about not respecting Jalen - that's fine and fair because it IS a criticism of his game - but it's still somewhat strawman

Think of it this way - have the Knicks won any game this series where KAT did not have a huge hand? The answer is no.

Did the coaching staff make adjustments to be sure KAT was not uninvolved after G2? The answer is yes

There is no real legit argument here ... the answers are obvious ... granted I may be a wee bit emotional in the GTs still, but the truth is the truth

Now this is a real uncalled foul.

Josh hart slightly nudged hardaway nobody is calling that to decide a game in the playoffs.

Hart was def fouled so the last shot foul is moot

Even when the a Knicks get an unfair call, some ref crap happens right before it to nullify the bailout … That’s how mistreated the Knicks and Knicks fans are

We are treated very badly and unfairly, like our fellow New Yorker politician!

Anyone remember that playoff game where kat hit a 3 and then an insane falling out of bounds baseline fadeaway in duren’s face and then a deep step back 3 to win the game that was wild

There may be some hints here on why he's content to just play a G2 type loss, rather than demand the ball ... nice person

The foul on Ausar was a flop ... but also Ausar has to know where he's going there ... Brunson had established space, Ausar runs into that space but it's not an obvious foul usually

I honestly don't even know what the rule is there and I'm not sure anybody does

Wasn't that one of very physical games back in the 90's?

On that loose ball, Hart grabbed and shoved, clear foul. Also how does Bridges not corral that ball or at least knock it out of bounds

And Mitch is standing around doing nothing
