I’m not ready to discard Wicks yet. I personally would never compare Wicks to Davante in real time even tho some do. But the only reason I even bring it up is because of the drop situation. Young Davante and young Jordy both had issues with dropping passes in the same light we are seeing with Wicks. As a WR, I think that’s an easier fix than anything else. He already has a good knack for open space and runs crisp routes, physically catching the ball is the last thing keeping him from being a really good player. I’d like to see Wicks stick around because I think he has a chance to be a real weapon.

Crazy to think Simmons is still only 26yrs old. Not trying to be too much of a homer but I think Hafley will find good usage for him. With his size, speed and versatility, there’s gotta be at least 1 quality about him to exploit.

A depth LB that can help on Special teams. I'm not expecting too much but he has a path to making the 53

I’d love to see a Jacobs, Reed, Williams backfield set. Good luck to a defense trying to figure out what comes out of that.

What kind of value will Jaire bring in the trade market?

Reed had his share of drops last season too. For some reason that seems to get forgotten. More targets so better catch percentage but, some publications have him with more drops than Wicks.
In a way Wicks and Reed opposite seasons. Reed played great in the beginning and disappeared and got the drops late season. Wicks drops were mostly early and looked better late season.

I can't imagine there is one. Between his contract and his injury history, it's a high risk acquisition. There's probably a lot more interest if the Packers cut him.

Looking at the age of our roster. We are still really young.

McManis 33
Orzech 30
Kenny Clark 29
Elgton Jenkins 29
Jaire 28
Zayne Anderson 28

Rest are 27 and getting even younger

Doubs is eligible for an extension. I think it's easy to connect the dots on that one.

I get trying to use any leverage you got to try and get that contract extension but he's gotta be smart enough to know after drafting 2 WRs GB isn't extending him before the season

Doubs is underrated and over-analyzed around here, by that I mean under-respected, and turning in another solid season is in the mutual interest of both parties. So I hope both Doubs and Packers find reasonable common ground. The concussions are a reality, and he's not likely to get a market-shattering contract extension, but the through-line in the receivers room the continuity in the pass-catching corps is Doubs' reliability. Reed's had drops and isn't built to be a #1, and Doubs has always nailed that #2 role as the perfect fit w/a #1 on the field. But we can't lay him out & expose him to concussion-delivering hits just because he's the only clutch WR we've got out on the field and every opposing Chuck Cecil guy knows it. With luck coaches are sane enough to put big-bodied Savion Williams & #1 Golden out there with Doubs can he drop into roles where his experience will have the most impact but won't be targeted by headhunters. Pointless not to utilize aalll thse guys to our best advantage.

Problem is. How much are you paying him? 4 years $48 mil? Then gets concussed day 1 and then what?

I think he can be a good number 2 when healthy and focused, but i see the Packers letting him walk.

I don't expect either Doubs or Watson on the roster next season. I also wouldn't be shocked if they tried to move Doubs before this season before he's owed anything and before he suffers another concussion. Plus, I think Gute isn't long for him after he quit on the team last October and got suspended. Golden, Reed, Wicks and Savion are your core receivers.
