I don't think there's any conspiracy. Lebron just choked. The way Drake is getting clowned after the Kendrick beef was how Lebron was getting clowned after the Dallas final loss. I don't think he would sabotage Wade just to be a laughing stock for a full year. That loss was the lowest part of his career and probably one of the lowest in his life. People forget how hated he was, how much pressure he was under and how much the whole NBA fandom celebrated him & Miami getting embarrassed.

I don't think Lebron is anywhere the choker people who don't like him say he is, but he definitely didn't play up to par in that series. I'll never forget when I looked and saw Mario Chalmers ended up with more FTs in that finals than Lebron.

I'll give Lebron credit though. He could have caved, made max money for years, and never won a championship. But, he came back focused and had some all time great playoff series in route to winning 4 championships. For whatever reason that 2011 Finals he just didn't play up to his potential. If he did he probably would have five rings.

Chalmers was a dog. Will always love him. Always gave 110%

I don't know about that. In terms of overall legacy, it was better for him to 1) not have his first ring come with him not being the best player on the team. He would have never lived that down, but he knew that winning in the future would erase that. Which it effectively has. And 2) not give his contemporary/competition (friend or not) additional hardware. Think about it. If they never won another championship as a big 3, Wade has 2 championships and 2 FMVPs. Even if they won the next, Wade has 4 championships and 2 FMVPs, an a much better argument against LeBron.

He had his meniscus in his left knee removed in college. That's what stopped him from being the goat.

I'm pretty convinced no one will ever be able to surpass MJ as GOAT in the eyes of the public due to the narrative around him. I'm not saying LeBron did surpass MJ btw, just the crazy standards I see MJ fans hold anyone who threatens him to....yeesh. Besides if LBJ doesn't come here, Wade probably has what like 1 ring? Maybe 2? You can be GOAT with 1-2 rings but no one will admit it, look at Wilt.

Probably one ring. But hey... Dirk and Dr J one ring and guys like Malone, Barkley, Ewing, Stockton zero rings.

We haven’t won a home playoff game in 708 days, that streak will push to over 1,000 at minimum by next year

Actually the end of the original 90's Heat squad was worse, although you said you started watching after that. Fall to Knicks 3 straight years in the playoffs, on buzzer beaters for the last 2, then finally upgrade the roster only to lose Zo to a rare kidney disease, and when Zo miraculously returns by the end of that season, lose to the Hornets in 3 massive blowouts where we get completely run off the court and Mashburn, the guy who constantly hid from the limelight against the Knicks, finally finds his nuts and goes crazy scoring like 25 a game and dominating us.

That was definitely the worst. The last two years are nothing compared to that sequence of events that was built up over like a 4 year period. It was so bad it forced Riles into his first retirement.

And before those Knicks losses there was no way Mourning/Hardway were getting past the Bulls. And those Heat teams were really good.

Brian Grant was signed to play next to Zo, but like you said Zo had the kidney issue. Grant still played his heart out, but had to play center instead of PF next to Zo.

There was also the season Anthony Mason joined and made the Allstar team.

I just looked and Heat won 50 games in 2000. Sucked for two years and then got Wade in 2003. Wade was once in lifetime. Adding Lebron and Bosh to him was once in a life time. I don't think the Heat are ever going to get to that level again.

Lakers get once in generation players multiple times. They're about the only team. No one else does. Celtics had Bird in the 80s and didn't win a ring again until they were able to team up KG, Pierce, and Allen past their prime. Bulls had Jordan and haven't been championship contenders since. Spurs had Duncan, but no rings before and no rings since he retired. Pistons and Rockets both won back to back and then Pistons were able to win one with a really balanced team. Who knows how many rings Giannis and Jokic end up with. There's a long list of great players who never won a championship. It's hard.... we're lucky we got to watch Wade on the Heat.

Never say never, we're not the Lakers but we're still easily a top 5-10 destination franchise. Helps in numerous ways whether guys get traded here, free agency, or just keeping a star we draft on our own.

But most likely the next great one is gonna have to come from the draft.

Then it would have made more sense for him to hog the ball from Wade than just hide which made him look terrible and STILL gets brought up. If he had won in 2011 he's probably considered GOAT by many more by now, no one cares that Bird played like **** in one of the finals he won.

The biggest playoff loss is 121-63 Denver Nuggets vs New Orleans Hornets, they are on pace to beat it.

At that point I don't think there is anyway their careers move forward without Lebron having a better career than Wade. Lebron was obviously built for longevity and Wade wasn't. Larry Bird wasn't Finals MVP when he won his first ring and Curry wasn't Finals MVP during one of the Warriors championships. I don't think anyone is saying that has hurt either of their legacies.
