That's not the issue. The issue is the Rockets are making everything. They're shooting 54% from the field and 64% from 3p. You aren't going to win many games if your opponents shoot that well, end of story. Especially with GS shooting 38% FG / 36% 3p -- they're lucky to only be down 7. If they can keep it up for the entire game, you tip your cap and move on to the next game. If the averages revert to the mean in the 2nd half, I like our chances, as we're winning the possession differential battle for once.

Rockets defense is the story of the game. The zone is bothering the Warriors very clearly and that's been the main difference. The Rockets aren't really making any shots that they wouldn't otherwise hit.

Defense is stifling most of these guys on the Warriors. I haven't seen the Warriors offense adjust at all to it yet.

Wolves-Lakers is the next round for either team.

What’s been story of the game? Coming in late

Super intense. Jalen Green too many turnovers. Dillon Brooks instigating up a storm/gooning it up. Draymond matching his goon energy. Fred Van Vleet having a turn back the clock game. Quinton Post giving the Warriors 12 points off the bench. Ugly, but fun to watch.

Warriors early quick start. Rockets respond nicely with lots of physicality. Dillon Brooks instigates, Draymond reciprocates, Butler and Brooks jaw at each other a lot, a billion reviews, pretty ugly basketball. Draymond has a tech and flagrant.

I remember the entire Pistons team had to drag that dude out the arena before over a hard LeBron foul. Nobody wants any of that dude.

If he was even average this series is flipped on its head. It is amazing how bad this dude is at scoring.

Sengun gets so far under the basket that he has no angle to make it. He's a mess.

If we go percentage wise, I'd say would be Ben Simmons at 0% (0-1)

The Rockets have successfully mucked it up— will the refs allow as much physicality the rest of the second half?

I'm betting Warriors come out better but Rockets will keep it close.

Great game on our hands
Kids played football, drove cars, went to school, celebrated life; while soldiers, heroes, their brothers struggled to find their way home from war; and young boys watched and grew wiser in their dreams.

GS is -7% under average from the field right now. The best defenses (OKC for example) will hold opponents about 1.5% FG percent under their season average over the long run. It's not about the defense, GS is just missing shots they normally wouldnt, on average. It happens. Meanwhile, Houston is shooting +9% FG and +30% 3p over their season average right now. It will even out over the long run, but right now the shooting gods have been on Houston's side.
