Re: More Free Agent Talk
Paul Reed was just waived, and thats someone I'd much rather have on the roster than Gui. Salary would be very tough to navigate, even as a pro-rated minimum. Someone with a decent salary would have to go
But if he remains a FA until the 10days start, could be interesting

It's a weird move and I'm surprised they just cut him.. wonder if there's something locker room or personal going on

I'd like to see Isaiah Stevens or Plowden get the 3rd 2way spot that is now opened up with Beekman being traded.

Saw a video. Apparently releasing him and re-signing him at the min took them from $10 mil to $14 mil in cap space at the deadline.

I saw that explanation and immediately thought, what kind of shenanigans is that?

Maybe his contract was not guaranteed?vvoland wrote:NW wrote:vvoland wrote:

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Correct, his 2 year, 15m contract was fully ungtd and was set to be gtd on 1/10
Damn shame, he'd be a nice backup C option here if it were possible to get him
I think this makes him ineligible for trades too

Quincy Olivari got waived by the Lakers.
Warriors should snatch him up so he can play with Steph!

Why in the world did we sign Jackson Rowe to our last 2way deal this week?

Not saying it had to be Quincy (who has struggled in g-league the last month or two... but using it on a 28 year old that at best is a poor mans Gui Santos... I just don't get it. Why not use it on a top g-league prospect that we can have their 2way rights heading into next year?
This is just the same old boring trend of guys like Jerome Robinson, Anthony Lamb, Pat Spencer, etc... should be used on prospects!

You don't like that our 2 way prospects are 28, 28 and 25? It's like they went super young and then over corrected and got a bunch of old guys as 2 way prospects. If these guys aren't contributing and playing games right now then we're just wasting our time especially since we're so deep already. I mean I guess at least we've used Pat and Post this year.

The Clippers signed Ben Simmons for a little more than a million. Is there any reason why the Dubs couldn't have given a similar offer? Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

Yes, the Warriors aren't located in Los Angeles.

Last thing the Warriors need is another guy who can't shoot, won't shoot, afraid of being put on the FT line.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
Bones Hyland or Josh Richardson would be solid targets for that last spot if we’re thinking G. Christian Wood would also be interesting. Less of a need with Post now playing but Wood is talented and would fit nicely next to Green and Butler. His issue has always been his mentality tho.

Warriors really have to try and bring Steven Adams in as center depth this summer.

I would love Adams on the warriors but I have a feeling he hates the warriors

I mean direct flights from SFO to Auckland ...
But he does have a history with Draymond and who knows, if his previous teams try to sign him, he might prefer them, OKC or even Memphis.

Stephen Adams doesn't 'hate' anything. The guy is a gentle warrior in every sense of the word. He's been battling against us for years, always having played for teams that have been in the firing line of the Steph Curry freight train.
He would be an amazing fit on our team, and a unique personality to have in the locker room. Steph in particular would love him.
