Wiggins going to LA in a package for Luka

I doubt it. He's only in the second year of that 10-year, $120 million deal, right?

Our roster just isn't strong enough, any coach up against the powerhouse Cavs with this roster would get swept.

I don't think his job is in jeopardy but definitely more of a question. He's had a bad year overall and historically bad playoff series.

Some things will change, I think this one of the years of the last few where there was little to no redeeming qualities for the season and an unequivocal demand for change-- so I wouldn't count anything out

Would be shocked if he’s not included in the KD trade in some way

He’s 100 headed out in any deal for Durant. Don’t think he ends up with the Suns. He’ll get sent someplace else in a 3 way deal. Washington who has some big expiring’s in Middleton and Smart seems like a logical spot. Wiggins and Poole have remained close. Wiggins would be a good lockerroom vet for them.

Whatever we do I hope we do it quick and we’re not just sitting around having a dick swinging contest with the other GMs while all the vets are signing deals like the Dame sage. Like we’ve been saying, the framework should all already be there from the trade deadline talks.

There are several good veteran free agents this summer that could possibly be had for cheap:

Brogdon
Bruce Brown
Hardaway
DLo
Kennard
Burks
Levert
Schroder
Adams
Nance
CP0
Beasley
Curry
Prince
Tyus
Gary Trent

He has had the full backing of an NBA basketball franchise. The HEAT have given him a greenlight to do whatever he wants. Oh, he made an all star team, great, but a lot of ball players could do that if they were in herro's place.

The HEAT have backed and supported this guy more than they should have. That Kentucky pedigree must really matter.

Trade him, he is limited athletically, defensively, and he won't ever be dominant offensively. He's a bench rotation guy at best. Yet he wants to get paid paid and be given big roles. Try to make him a bench guy and he complains.

We didn’t want to send him for Harden, Kyrie, or Donovan Mitchell, held out on Dame as well. Extreme delusion not being willing to trade him for players he will never add up to while we had Jimmy/Bam/Spo primed to get over the top and win a championship(s). From what I remember Jimmy was pushing for Herro to be sent for Harden, then Bam pushing for Mitchell.

Haha that’s the thing, if you’re going to play a trash defender he might as well be a top 2-3 offensive player in the world.

The issue is not having players not wanting to come here. The primary issue has been not having the proper assets or cap space to get anything done

Humiliation is what we saw. At first I tried to shrug it off and say it's expected but no, that was historically bad. And now Herro is exposed once again so his trade value takes a little hit again.

I'm going back to 2020 and start talking about Kendrick Nunn again. He's the current eurolegue MVP and has become the best player in the euroleague. Trade Herro, sign Nunn.

But that is also a Riley/FO issue tbh. We are pretty hamstrung for the future. This off season will need to be something for the books for Riley. Imo, he needs to not only land a "whale" (even an aging one like KD, which is not likely but the most likely for our assets) but before that find a way to trade our mismash of g-league players and trash into actual NBA level role players. The goal is to actually upgrade the team to make it attractive for that "whale" to see the vision here.

Rozier and Duncan HAVE to turn into something like John Collins and Clarkson or Sexton. Actual players who currently belong on an NBA depth chart.

The worst part of this series is not losing or getting swept, it's how bad our core of Bam, Herro, and Ware looked. Its not even how much we lost by (although, realistically, if they played well there's no way we lose THAT badly).

Ware was so bad he couldn't even stay on the floor for more than 4 minutes the entire game. Looked like he gave absolutely no **** about basketball.
Herro put up one good shot the entire game and showed absolutely zero pride or leadership the rest. Also continued to be a complete burden on D.
Bam hid until the coast was clear and then began to shoot the ball when it didn't matter. Didn't anchor **** defensively either.

Why would KD, who wants to win to close his career, come here? Over going back to OKC or GSW somehow, or the Rockets?

I think willingness was there but i have been outlining for years in here every time a big name came up in trade that the chances were going to be either we just didn’t have the right pieces or we were just going to get flat beat out by another team. Not even discussing the tax issues of the past few years and bad contracts on board.

Can Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo and Bradley Beal as your big three win a chip or compete for one?
