Amen. Being here over the last 24 hours has been extremely therapeutic.

I look to Golden State as a hopeful template. Need lots of luck and capitalizing on distressed assets. I don't think many of us thought GS would be any good once they started to age, but they re-tooled on the fly, took advantage of trade opportunities and extended their competitive window with Curry. We don't know what players will randomly become available and maybe we could get lucky and trade for a new running mate for Giannis if he's still committed to sticking with the Bucks.

I come in peace.

As of today BK is the favorites to land Giannis if he is traded. It seems like its possible this summer.

If this were to occur, and he asks to go to BK, what would a possible trade look like? I want to understand from real MIL fans and not these casual NBA fans making up trades. Thank you and I am all about love and understand it sucks to transition franchise goals as I have been a freaking Nets fan for decades most of which when we sucked!

That's fair. Really both options come with a significant level of risk.

Yeah, it's certainly not perfect. And I don't begrudge people who'd rather just do a complete tear-down/rebuild using Giannis, I just have a hard time seeing them trading him if he's cool with staying, and I think his game is going to age better than initially expected if he continues to get better at his midrange and finesse game. If he requests a trade though, then it's all a moot point.

Zero chance Brooklyn has any sort of competitive Giannis offer without winning the draft lottery.

Sorry to break it to you, but the Nets have nothing of interest unless you land the #1 pick. And even then, that brings the total count of interesting assets to one. I don't want a stockpile of future FRPs when you'll be adding Giannis and no longer in the lottery.

I refused to come here until Vegas confirmed BK actually was truly in the running as a heavy favorite.

I only think this happens if Giannis and MIL agree to part ways and he says he only wants to go to BK and will not publicly state it.

If this hypo occurred what trade would you see?

Only way we trade him to the Nets is if they land the #1 pick.

#1, Bucks 2025 1st back, PHI 20271st, Nets 2028 1st, 2030 Nets 1st and Claxton for Giannis and Kuzma

A standoff until he adds to his list of destinations.

Giannis would never demand to go to only one place. This is nonsense.

It's insane to suggest trading Kuz this offseason, especially if we're dealing Giannis. We're supposed to be the 1s taking on bad contracts to get assets attached. And it was considered a decent contract just last season before having career worsts practically across the board.

See if he recovers. Then trade him (or not).

Just tossing a prediction out there. My guess is we’ve got one more year with Giannis. He will say that he trusts in the Bucks to retool and is hopeful for Dame to come back next season before the playoffs. I think Horst will make some fringe moves this summer to keep us afloat 6-8 seed, and Dame will come back before the playoffs. It probably won’t be enough, Dame will be too rusty and we’re out in the first round.

At that point Giannis will request a trade with his one year and player option left. We’ll get a decent return for him. We will then have a 1 year contract Dame, Kuzma, and hopefully a young prospect or two to lead the fruitless 26-27 tank (unless the pelicans still suck that season).

This idea that Kuzma was good before this year has to stop. He has never been good.

His career shooting percentage is 45% and 33% on threes.

His assist to turnover ratio is horrible.

His free throw percentage is 72% .

His rebounding is ok at 6 per game.

He will never get appreciably better. I can buy the idea to keep him so we can tank for a few seasons, but let's not kid ourselves. He's a player no GM should ever trade for.

We have two more seasons of him at 22 and 20 million. That isn't reasonable and never was. BP is much, much better than Kuzma and is getting appreciably less.

How do we get the Heat and Spo to mutually part ways? He could help save the Giannis era.

If we could dump Kuz and Dame for expirings (or even like 85% expirings), that would be my plan. Not sure it’s possible, but there are some useless contracts out there.
