Wiseman tore his meniscus near the end of his first season, after which he was quoted as saying "When I first got injured, I was crying so hard I couldn’t even get to my mom’s apartment. What stuck out to me in game 3 was HOU was all-in on chasing Post off the 3. They closed out hard every time. They were right to do so because he is much more dangerous on an open 3 than on attacking a close-out. There could be some synergy with Butler/GP2/Kuminga if Post can find them cutting on the resulting 5 on 4. I don't expect him to develop that right now, but next season he will need to start making the assists/hockey-assists.

Yup next step in his development next year is to look for a way to attack close-outs and make plays out of it. Or if he's a splash brother find a way to incorporate a side step 3. But in any case he's a real threat from 3 and teams are really accounting for him. He has a real role and is one of the better big man shooters in the league as a rookie.

OLD BLUE- There's no crying in baseball.....lol Cracked me up!
Quintin has real promise.
Love his fight & not backing down from anyone.
He may not be the fastest, however he hustles & doesn't take shortcuts. - big heart that can't be taught
Heart & brains, what Wiseman always lacked.
Those are traits you cannot teach, the others with hard work & dedication, can be taught over time.

Post is a 25-year old rookie with 5 years in college. On the other hand, Wiseman will be lucky to be playing in the NBA at 25. Some of it is his injuries. I think he could have been a career backup.

I think he's going to be a nice player going forward, but he needs to get a lot tougher on defense and the glass - maybe get in the weight room more this offseason. For a team that is desperate for size, I think he needs to be on the court a good amount, especially when the other team runs 2 bigs.

I liked it when Post went hard to the rim for the two-hand slam even though he missed it (fortunately got fouled at least). Just attempting that showed something that I hadn't seen in him before and if he can develop a willingness to aggressively drive when teams close out on him, that will help our offense. His finishing skills are below average, so if he can work on getting that up to at least adequate in the off-season as well as dishing off if he can't finish, his overall offensive value goes up.

You forgot:
Good passer
Skilled with the ball
Low TO

Weight room, diet, and more time on the court against the best should improve his game. If he can speed up the shot just a bit and get a bit more strength finishing inside, his offensive game will really open up. Once he fully adjusts to the speed of the NBA game, his defense should improve. When he's not late, he's sound, big, and has quick hands. If he's able to add real strength to that frame, he can blossom on both ends. That's the one part I'm not sure he'll add as he's been in high level weight rooms since 2019. His center of gravity may be too high.

Some of his passes are not crisp. Like one that came off his palm like shot putting it and the other player had to reach down to catch it.

Also he has to make quick decision if the shot isn't there see if he can put it down or find the man the defender rotated to him from. Especially if the other team is in scramble mode, the ball has to be shot or moved as soon s it's caught. He's still taking a beat or two before shooting or passing.

Exposed on defense, not enough impact on offense in Game 6.

Warriors were interested in Markkanen. Not that he's such a great defender but he can attack the rim on closeouts and he can post up, has a bit of midrange game.

Of course Ainge demanded a ransom.

It's really unfair on Post to rely on him so heavily after playing half his rookie season. He has looked great and he has looked dreadful - like a rookie. My takeaway is that a stretch big works in this system, and it has to be a priority in the offseason.

He's become unplayable in this series.

Team will probably try to find more big man help, which could limit his playing time next season too unless he make a big jump over the offseason, mainly from training so that he's physically more competitive.

Seems like any quick attacking guard is going to take advantage of him. Jalen Green had a field day on Post as well.

Thank God he did. Lauri can't stay healthy enough to justify his contract and the paid ransom it would have required to trade for him. F 'em.

Quinten has done great, especially for a rookie second round pick joining a veteran team. He is going to be a key piece for the Warriors going forward - stretch bigs are such a huge part of the modern NBA.

I think his problems in this series are - like a bunch of Warriors! - he's been too hesitant to let let it rip. Draymond is trying to set an example out there but if you're Post, Jimmy, Moody, Podz etc. you really have to take that open shot when you get it, because there might not be a better shot that comes along.

And secondly - and this is not unique to Post - these bigs just have a real hard time when you've got someone like Ant trying to isolate you in coverage. It takes a rare, elite big to be able to guard quick, ball-handling guards and wings in space. (The Warriors have made multi-DPOY Rudy Gobert an afterthought in this series, haven't they?)

They need to practice shooting when there are game tired to better understand thier body and form.

The pressure is making them tighten up. Hopefully they can play loose tonight since they've really got nothing to lose at this point.

I think post has made great strides during the season, especially on defense, but it was always too much to expect him to contribute in the playoffs. Too much to adjust to and the games are too important to give him the space to do so. I fully expect Kerr to give Post a ton of regular season minutes next year unless we bring in a better shooter at C.
