I think they'll make an offer and it will be well above what we could or could have offered.

Depends on how far they get imo. Like if they get to the finals or even win the chip, I’m not sure I see them making a panic trade for Giannis.

I mean, a trade for Giannis isn't a panic trade. It's **** Giannis.

But the extent of pieces they offer may vary based on what they do. I could agree with that.

When I say panic I mean trading half of their core and all of their picks, if that’s what Milwaukee wants in return lol

They are prob a dark horse contender to get Giannis. In terms of winning, I think we’re the team that makes the most sense for Giannis. Imagine a core of Giannis, OG and Brunson.

Sure. I just tried yo look at it from Milwaukee’s perspective. Wouldn’t they ask for Brunson instead and should we even balk? More importantly, there is much more in it for them. They wouldn’t want 30-year-olds.

Let’s look at OKC just for fun and imagine they get upset and do not win the championship this year after that type of season. To me there’s no doubt they’d go all in on Giannis (and if they sent Chet Holmgren, maybe Wallace, Hartenstein and all those picks, they’d get him).

SGA, Caruso, Dort, Williams, Giannis - good night, NBA.

Are we so sure that OKC wants to trade their core for Giannis tho? They are probably favorites to win it all right now. Not sure they would want to break it up.

They're gonna have to pay Chet and Williams at the same time so they might cash in

I maintain, Chet + the Philly pick is a hell of a start for a package and that should be on the table regardless.

If the Thunder win the title or make it there, I don't think they trade for him, their core is SGA, Chet and Jx2. It's the teams that fail that will be more pressed to go after him, like the Rockets have the players and the picks to get him, the Spurs also have the picks (Mavs 2030 unprotected).

Rockets have a lottery pick this year thanks to the Suns too.

I am not looking forward to a summer of Giannis 'Knicks for clicks' baity stuff...especially if the Knicks don't take a step ahead in these playoffs it will considerably more squawky.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

November 24 is years ago in nba terms. If they go out in 5, I absolutely see them overpaying.

OKC has the best war chest in the league and maybe all of pro sports.

The Clippers need to be banned for the Paul George trade.

They’re definitely not trading sengun. Not much has changed since November. They’re a young team.

the second GS closes them out there needs to be a call from PHX
FVV and all PHX picks for Booker
If they want to gamble, trade Beal for Dame
trade KD for iHart and picks
trade iHart for Lakers scraps and the one unprotected pick.

Bucks can try to keep Giannis for one more go. Kuzma has set that team back a ton though unless he can bounce back.

Interesting , so I guess I need to root for OKC to win it all ...that would knock out the top 2 favs for him imo.

it's not a take or opinion, it's a factual statement

Knicks had the 5th best regular season record in the NBA this season, therefore they had a top 5 roster

now, is it a top 5 roster next year or two years from now? That we don't know yet

ngl as a long time Wolves fan, I've really started to appreciate Julius Randle this year. When he's playing fast and moving the ball he's a nasty 2nd option, and I think Minnesota will commit to him longterm this summer.

He's been excellent in every playoff game so far, that choker narrative might have been bs lol
