If the Knicks don’t find a way to blow this series lead, they are going to get absolutely embarrassed by the Celtics.

And then Thibs will hopefully be gone.

But if they choke and lose this series, he’s definitely gone.

Short term pain, for long term gains.

Either way, the best outlook for this team is to get rid of him and bring in a coach that actually knows how to make adjustments and maximize the talent around him. I am just so sick of seeing him fumble this roster.

The fact they can get away with playing him as much as they do is unreal, he cannot shoot, but we don't defend him the way they do Hart. Because our rockhead coach will not defend him with a center because a center always needs to guard another center, that's how they played in 2010, so that's how you gotta play today.

I rather have Randle and DDV then KAT. Not even a diss on KAT, but Thibs is such a failure at maximizing these guys. And Randle provides the ballhandling in the starting unit needs so badly. Mikal or Hart need to like check JB or something. I know KAT is a bad pick/screener, but he doesn't help his cause when he's light on contact part of the picks. Someone really needs to teach him the simple pick and roll/pop. Sickening.

All thibs does is the Duante Culpepper roll with his arms…. I’ve never seen him call a play

How was there so much confusion on that last substitution? Obviously Mitch and KAT should be in since we need an oreb…

Thibs man, thank you for helping turn this around but we’ll take it from here

That was the 2nd play thibs should have challenged. The other was Harris elbowing Kat. Both plays take points off the board and give you possession.

No idea what he didn't challenge either.

There was one or 2 earlier too but it was early in the game so whatever.

Yeh there were a few early in the game but like you said, too early for a challenge. I did agree with the no challenge on the Tobias elbow on KAT though, I’ve seen that called many times in favor of the offensive player even though it was created by the offensive player.

But still it stands, why the f did we not challenge one play?

even the simple things like having brunson constantly bring the ball up with full court pressure...using 6-7 seconds of the shot clock knowing its a physical series and we aren't getting easy looks is crazy to me.

have someone else bring it up and get into our damn offense sooner!

I'm done with Thibs, too, but he does challenge and he does win. I think he's like top 5 or something in winning challenges.

Not that it manners. I'm sick of his "offensive playbook".

Downside to playing a fake 5-and-out team. They're playing small on D, but on O, they're not doing **** that a 5-and-out team is suppose to do.

Thibs lost me when he said his subs are based of the other teams subs. We’re the 3rd seed in the east & 5th best team in the league, teams should be adjusting to us, not the other way around. This man is coaching scared and limiting our potential, while driving our starters into the dirt

I was thinking the same thing. Have Hart bring it up. It will help get Hart in rhythm & save energy for Brunson

It’s bc he’s a freak athlete tho. Idk how many dunks he had in the first half when they did ignore him. He also is quick and gets to the line so he isn’t just standing around.

This is probably the single most annoying thing to me…. Not only would we get the ball up faster but there would also be less physicality on Brunson… it just makes too much sense to let someone else bring it up against minimal pressure and with 19sec left on the shot clock so we’ll never do it

I've been saying it all year. Stop leaving Brunson to have to fight bigger defenders in full court press all game game all season long. Thibs is a moron though.

This team probably needs a few more seasons to gel with one another but they are going to do themselves a great injustice if they have to grow under Thibs coaching. He will severely limit their ceiling and will honestly be wasting their prime years. Win this series or not, in order for this current squad to see it's true potential we need someone that can unleash their true potential.

This is going to a game 7.

I keep getting angry about how flat out awful we have looked in this series. They are absolutely lucky to be up 3-2.

I am just not proud of watching this team this season. Like I felt a lot of pride watching last year’s squad, and the season before that. This year’s team is super frustrating and annoying to watch. You almost feel hopeless knowing what’s going to happen beforehand. This team just lacks focus.

And Duren isn't going to full press hart...he can't or he will dribble around him. So we basically get a free walkup everytime

but no we have to have brunson get full court pressed walk it up...and we are starting our offense with 15-16 seconds and we barely passing half court.

so if the Pistons stop our first action...we are basically throwing up a prayer end of shot clock.
