Grant Liffmann (a former media member and a close friend of Fields who works in Atlanta's front office) and Ryan Silverstein (a close friend of Ressler who works in Atlanta's front office) are also considered influential within the organization.

Many of us here on the forum had Daniels on our draft point.

I wonder if Grant actually saw something in him or was he just a filller for the trade?

My opinion on any DJ trade had to include one of NOP's lengthy wing players: Herb, Dyson, Murphy, so for me never saw Dyson as a throw in.

There was a interview/report from earlier in the season from Fields where he states that they tries to move up in the draft to take Daniels (we ended up staying at 16 and took Griffin). He also states that Dyson was the 1 player they required to get in return for DJM.
