Pretty much sums it up for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s what happens when you make two big trades for no reason.

listen to these guys talk about how kat's defense after game 1 keeps getting worse and the net rating last night with mitch on the floor instead of kat.....sad

Brunson is near the top of the league in scoring and assists. You should try watching the games. This is a stupid take.

He's also probably first in USG. Being near the top in assist doesn't mean you get your teammates involved. It means u have the ball alot

Leon has to side with Mikal over Thibs. Trading Mikal without an amazing return would put Leon's own job in jeopardy.

And from Mikal calling him out earlier to the media and others calling out Thibs' short rotations, refusal to use the bench, weird defensive drop coverage schemes, and terrible offensive schemes, and even Dolan coming down there to force Thibs to play Huk ...

The writing is on the wall for Thibs.

its just not an enjoyable group to watch either. there's moments when brunson goes off or when og is defending great or josh/mitch are grabbing rebounds that remind you of the old team. but overall this group has no identity. what we're seeing in the playoffs is no different than most of the regular season. we were hoping something would click for them but it really hasn't. they're pretty much the same level of team as the pistons which is why it's been so close.

Dude said layup lines

This dudes vibe was off from the moment he arrived. How do you not even have any chemistry with the same PG you had in college and won a championship with? Draft hype was all about you, you went lottery and he went 2nd round. He became a star in NY and you’ve been a role player your whole career. I think deep down inside dude is jealous of Brunson and really doesn’t want to be on this team

Can’t listen rn but KAT’s defense has been awful after game 1. He played good defense for one game for the whole year and went back to being ass  we can’t win a chip with him.

Just looking at the net rating, the two worst players in the starting lineup were KAT and Mikal. The two guys we gave up all our assets on

Mikal 13 points in the 4th. Coaching, JB off game, and Deuce sucking is the difference here.

I don't think refs were bad this last game. We just got outplayed.

I'd like to see more KAT and Mitch. They had a decent stretch in the 2nd, but I don't remember them playing together much after that.

This game came down to Brunson not playing well. Not cause it's his fault or whatever, it's just that we usually don't win if he doesn't play well. It's always been that way. He's the best player.

I don't think he's wrong. The non-movement on offense on this starting squad is ridiculous. There was more movement on this team last season then is there now. I don't get after a full season this starting unit isn't clicking. If KAT and JB aren't going to do screens and pick and rolls/pops, I rather see Mikal and OJ on it.

Agreed. I don't think refs gave this game up. The ability not to be able to execute has been the looming problem for months now.

A real coach would have corrected course multiple times during the game

What an embarrassment

Tonight was an embarrassment, but if you think of a team full of veterans in a close out playoff game need a coach that corrects this, there are MUCH BIGGER ISSUES THAN JUST THE COACH. Some of you think these players are like high school kids that listen and wait on a coach for every thing. These players if they are “good” enough should be able to correct it themselves

Correct what? There is nothing to correct! We don't run an offense. The game tells you what to do. That's the offense. Slowly dribble up the court against full court press. Barely cross the timeline. Stand around and wait for a a random pass from someone who doesn't have a shot. Try to find your own shot. Pass to someone else when you can't find your own shot. Let them hunt for a shot.

Our defense relies on other teams missing open looks from three.

If he used the timeout for the sub he wouldn't have had anything in the case of disaster. They needed to stop the play.

Correct. But that's where most of us stopped. Some played college. But the pros isndifferent. You're supposed to know by then.

Teams figured out our complex offense months ago. We have yet to counter. Put a big on Hart. Put a guard on KAT. Throw full court press at Brunson with talker defenders. Execute those three things and even the worst teams have a chance to beat us. As a counter adjustment to that we do nothing different.

Teams figured out our complex defense months ago too, Make one pass to the open guy on the perimeter. Hit your open looks. Attack KAT in drop. Search for Brunson mismatch. Wait is out and we will be gassed in the fourth quarter. Run us off the court. Game over. They openly told anyone who would listen.

Thibs is done here. There will be no more surprises in the future. Nothing will change. Nothing has changed in 5 years except the talent upgrades that haven't gotten us any further in the playoffs. The least prepared team in the playoffs.

The fact that it’s even going to 6 should be enough to fire him. We better not have this coach next season.

Is it talent on paper or the correct mix of talent?

we have both but a coach who has no idea how to utilize the roster effectively

we have quite literally started and played a 6th man bench glue guy 37+ minutes a game the entire season because our coach is THAT hard headed
Who has leapfrogged Josh Hart? We see stone hands Mitch. We see can't make Deuce. Whi would have made us better?
