Doc would love a guy like Sengun and you know he'd be playing him at PF in jumbo lineups with Brook or Giannis just like Udoka is trying to hide him behind the corpse of Steven Adams. That pretty much sums up why I think he's become overrated. Not even saying he's a guy "you can't win with", but his skill set is just such an awkward fit playing next to other, more talented offensive players and that's gonna be a problem whenever Houston wants to get serious about contending. Wild that he gets the kind of whistle that he does considering his game is basically just using his ass as a battering ram and flinging up awkward jump hooks and push shots.

Him having a bunch of awesome defenders to cover up his deficiencies there also helps his perception a ton. Maybe he becomes a better shooter eventually, but I can’t understand how anyone watches him play and says “Yeah, that’s a guy I wanna build my team around”.

He’s only one of six prime assets I’d like back from Houston in a Giannis trade. The goal is to build a 50-win team and then figure it out from there. In my opinion the single best non-Flagg return we can get is from Houston if we can pull 22 year old Sengun and 22-year old Amen from them.

What makes him different from Sabonis is that he’s a little bit bigger and has a quick burst to the hoop. He had a few dunks last night that Sabonis doesn’t necessarily make. As for Greg Monroe, they aren’t remotely close.

Yes, he's "one of" the assets that you'd want back from Houston because we'd still need good players that can put up numbers without our own picks coming back. But I'd much rather they up the picks/prospects package for us taking on FVV's $44 million team option (give me Eason and an extra first). For the record I did say "rich man's" Greg, and I feel that you're selling young Monroe short here. Sengun the clearly better athlete but Greg was an incredibly good/underutilized passer and both guys have/had elite footwork.

Sengun is a big man with no outside game and shoots less than 50% from the field. He could improve obviously but I've never been impressed.

You guys are weird. Sengun is having his worst season from an efficiency standpoint, yet still putting up offensive numbers that are every bit as good as Giannis at 22.

I would consider Eason and another first in place of Sengun. But as you said, then we take on FVV’s contract. Likely we send Pat out then with Giannis to get closer to a salary match.

Sengun is not putting up offensive numbers every bit as good as Giannis at 22.

Giannis put up 23/9/5 on +4.7 rTS%

Sengun has put up 19/10/5 on -3.1 rTS%

And the framing means little when Giannis’s best attribute was his defense where he was maybe the biggest game wrecker in the league then with 3.6 stocks per game.

Bucks ownership gets and deserves all the negative publicity they get for some bonehead decisions... but at least they aren't duh kings.

Sengun is like Sabonis so kind of a fool’s gold player on his own that can be taken advantage of, smart but not athletic enough or a guy who can stretch the floor. If he was on this team he’d be an asset id be comfortable moving.

If there’s a world where you can get Thompson/Eason/FVV (on an expiring deal)/firsts for Giannis and Pat, I’d do that in a heartbeat.

There’s also potential to use FVV’s expiring contract to get assets from another team.

Brunson and Hart have been waiting to get back into the game for almost the entirety of the last two minutes of the game. Absolutely bizarre coaching from Thibs.

It was tough because he had to use a timeout when Hart got hurt with 2:57 left so he only had one left.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Glad Detroit won. Tbh they’ve been the better team. But Boston is going to demolish either team in round 2

Boston is going to demolish anyone who isn't the OKC Thunder IMO.

Boston is in a weird spot. I think they beat every team the league in 5 or 4. Except for OKC, who I think could beat Boston in 5. The way I see it, Boston is golden for the repeat provided they don;t play the Thunder in the Finals.

Knowing Boston's luck, something fluky will happen where they end up not playing the Thunder in the Finals.

Boston catches a lot of breaks.

Another huge break they caught was the Bucks not hiring Atkinson.

The thought of a Kenny Atkinson coached team led by Giannis would terrify the hell out of me I was a Celtics fan.

Making a trade with Houston and not getting Sheppard would be a disaster.

You think they beat Cleveland in 5 or less? I think some serious home cooking would have to be going on for me to be confident in that kind of prediction.

Yeah, I would go Boston over Cleveland in 5, maybe 6 at the most.

I hope I am wrong, it would be awesome to see the Cavs knock the Celtics out and deny them the repeat. I just don't think it's going to happen.

The Cavs are really good, but I don't think they are quite on Boston's level. I think the Cavs are a really good 50 win team that overachieves at a high level because they are insanely well coached. That stuff is fun in the regular season, but it eventually catches up with you when you play the top teams.

I think the Cavs beat the Pacers, but it won't be an easy series for the Cavs. I would say CAVS in 7 vs the Pacers, maybe 6.

We will see. I think it is safe to say that with the Cavs playing the Pacers in round 2 and likley the Celtics in the ECF. We are all huge Cavs fans for the next month...lol.

Now that the Bucks slim chances of contention ended, I'm rooting for Steph to get his 5th ring to get on the NBA Mt Rushmore. He's had an underrated career for all-time greats. Overshadowed by Bron. & it's better for the game for a small skill guy to win than all these behemoths.

Love steph but just can't bring myself to root for Dray and Jimmy Assler

All in on OKC or Cleveland. Even Denver. Jokic is the best player of this generation.
Do it for Chuck
