GAME 5 — elimination game

Post#1 » by stan francisco » Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:19 pm

AntMan and crew think they’re finishing us off today.

So, not only do we have to weather the storm, we need to beat them decisively today so that we put doubt in them for game six.

Prediction: we’ll be up by 20 in the 4th and will win by 12-15 points. Bronny and Knecht can finish the game.

My wish list:

• 8 or 9 man rotation (Gabe, Vando, Goodwin, Hayes)
• Rebounding war must be won
• Fast paced offense, move even more off ball
• Less solo dribbling, more passing
• Don’t set picks as high as mid court
• Channel the defensive culture of Cooper, Fisher, Fox, Horry, Ariza, MWP, Worthy, Gasol, Kobe.

Running the break needs no coaching. Defense!

Let’s go!
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / Mañon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero
PF: Bron / Vando / Kleber
C: Ayton / Hayes / Koloko

GG everyone see you all soon, working on something.

- Playing Kleber over Hayes - JJ's fault
- Not playing Knecht, even for rest time for starters - JJ's fault

JJ has a lot to learn as a coach. Playing without a big was a dumb decision. Lots of trades need to happen in the offseason.

Good run this season. Great job by the coaching staff. Bron has been unreal. We have a future with Luka but need a big man and some POA defense.

Wishlist: JJJ, Duren, Sims, Lopez, Ryan Rollins etc…

Giannis and Durant might both move this summer. If they are, there will be loose pieces.

I’m proud of our third place. Do it, Rob!

I'm working on a fresh thread, we'll see. But as for KD no thanks, as for Giannis if we can then yes. Will explain more later

I had issues with subscriptions but caught bits and pieces of the game and watched the box score…. I didn’t have high hopes, but was a little disappointed honestly…. Minnesota had more talent than us and deserved to win, but I would have liked to see more intensity and energy from our guys, especially in a potential season ender…
Hearing a lot of big names being thrown around as potential pick ups this offseason…. Should be interesting. They clearly have a lot of work to do.

JJ and staff did great for 82 games.

Then, suddenly, all offensive concerns and no defenders on the court. Luka and Bron were -29 when on the floor together.

I believe Perk has it right. JJ thinks offense first. That needs to change if we’re ever to win rings with him.

Vando, Gabe, Hayes, Goodwin could’ve helped.
